We ate here our first night in Rome, having spotted its charming underground location close to our hotel. The menu looked simple but promising, so we gave it a try. Glad we did! Arrived about 8:30 on a Saturday evening, and it was busy but...More

We were quickly ushered in and sat down in what initially seemed a quaint, quite popular restaurant. Within 2 minutes of having sat down, hardly having had time to even settle down, the waiter appeared to take our order. He then slapped down a basket...More

My husband and I had dinner here recently and the food was bland. Ordered the lasagna with meat sauce. No meat and sauce had no flavor. Hidden prices. Brought bread to us when we were seated without asking and charged €2 on our bill.

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only
way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The
Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas
in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s
famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to
its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub,
Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot
