The atmosphere was amazing! My grandfather had gotten lost walking back to our hotel and one of the waiters wrote him directions and he remembered him when we returned to dine there! He recommended some amazing appetizers for us to share and the food was as beautiful as it tasted!! The only negative was that we didn't discover it until... More

My best friend and I visited this restaurant and were very impressed! Not only are the prices reasonable, but the hosts were truly amazing. The restaurant is an authentic Italian family business and has been open for over 30 years. Unlike many restaurants in Rome, the Chef is Italian. The staff, specifically Andrea and Alessandro, were so knowledgeable regarding Italian... More

We LOVE San Pietrini. My friend said it was the best meal she had ever had in her life. I agree! I had the eggplant with the cheese...and the Donato wine...and the amazing staff. So friendly, wonderful food and drink. Best restaurant in Roma!

This restaurant was recommended to us by some friends who had stumbled onto it by accident. The night we are there, it was completely full inside, so they set up a table for us on the sidewalk. The service was pretty spotty due to how busy they were. However, the quality of the food was excellent. The zucchini florets were... More

I have been coming to I San Pietrini since they opened 9 years ago when it was known as the wonderful new place to eat near the Vatican. I San Pietrini continues to satisfy and improve. They now have 3 chefs each with their own specialty. The tasting menu is extraordinary! Alessandro, the owner, has paired wines with each course... More

We booked on short notice for a group of 11. At first we were reluctant to accept time restrictions from 18.30 - 21.00 but we did not regret it. The atmosphere was very cosy, deco a bit Bavarian style actually, food truly italian. Despite the short time we got entrées, pizzas and a surprise dessert for our anniversary guest without... More

I'll preface this by saying I hate complaining. I've probably complained in restaurants about twice in my life, so to the manager, no, we weren't just trying to get things for free. We started out with high expectations - it is close to where we are staying, relatively affordable and the bruschetta starter was delicious. The problems occurred with the... More

Guesses sent back the pizza after they eated not 1/4 but MORE THAN 3/4 of that! Casually he told us to have found, just when was missing last 2 small slices, under mozzarella and cheese and all the dressing a quite long hair (i checked it personally in the kitchen with the Chefs; ALL the employers in the kitchen use... We stayed just across the road from this restaurant found it on the first night.... it was very good. Avoid the tourist type inflated prices down the road and eat here... they speak most languages and the food is lovely.... portion size perfect and the price is very reasonable. Definitely would recommend lucky we stumbled across this place!

A rare gem among the many restaurants in Roma. Not pretentious in any way; don't let the style on the plate scare you away because it is amazing quality and not just something nice to look at. I did not take photos of the first and second courses but trust me they are amazing as were the appetizers and desert.... More

On our last night we visited as we'd walked past many times and it was almost always busy. The food was good, with some twists on the traditional, as was the service. Reasonably priced.
