We had a great lunch with fresh pasta dishes and we tasted great prosciutto. Mainly we didn't get at all this "tourist place" feeling that is very easy to anticipate in Trastevere. Surely a very good suggestion for a meal in the area.

Went for a dinner in Trastevere; menu has interesting proposals, such as mozzarella burrata with figues and prosciutto crudo, or grilled octopus that was so soft you could cut it without knife.

This small Osteria/restaurant has been one of our favorites each of our trips to Rome. It is a quaint place with indoor/outdoor seating (limited outdoor seating), on a pedestrian walkway on the way to to Main piazza. What we so enjoy is the laid back...More

This was an amazing restaurant. The wine was good and cheap. We had a Caprese to start with the best mozerella I've ever tasted, bruschetta and a cheese and meat board. The board came with chutney and honey which were lovely. For mains we had...More

This is a real gem. Not your standard Italian restaurant, the chefs are very inventive, constantly experimenting and refining.

Small informal restaurant with good range of tasty food and friendly service . We were delighted to see several vegetarian options (not always easy to find - you can only eat so much pizza! ) Enjoyed the house wine, music and general ambiance. Would highly...More

Our best meal in Rome during our stay. The place in itself is tiny, but very charming. Try out the truffle appetiser and the cheese cake (never had anything like it!)

After some pretty mediocre dinners at other restaurants, this was great. Everyone was pleased with their meals - fish, pasta and lamb were all wonderful. Bruschetta was a bit pricey for one piece, but pecorino grioliato and pear walnut salad were delicious. We enjoyed the...More

This week we had dinner at This restaurant. It appealed to us by the fact that it is not too big and because of the very different design. Also there is no waiter outside calling for you to come in, which we like. The food...More

We went for dinner and the place caught our eyes as it's small and has the mediteranean air. Jazz was playing and that is always a door opener. The two guys serving were very relaxed, one rude but the other was compensating. One dish from...More

Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded
postcard, a little worn around the edges but still
charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering
streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable
