Fell upon this place accidentally when visiting rome. Wish I'd checked on here first but it was a spur of the moment dinner. Expensive. Mushroom pizza had water sitting on it and overdone egg. Quattro fromagie pizza - no tomato sauce. Like a giant garlic bread. Thick, ready made base One waiter was good. Others sneered when people left after... More

This "bar" is just a tourist-trap. Overpriced/expensive. Lame drinks and lousy service! Walk 100 meters and you will find something completely different!

There are plenty of other cafes in the area so pick another. This one is just a tourist trap and I fell into it. This is the only location in our Italian trip that I felt we where taking advantage of.

Ate here today around 6pm - other than one couple who only came for a drink, we were the only people the whole time. And yet our food still took well over half an hour to arrive. The service was absolutely awful - the waiters were much more interested in either watching videos on their phones or calling out to... More

Hot July day, walking around the streets of Rome, we stumbled across the Piazza Navona and decided to have lunch. Angelo sold us on the new misting system installed over every table, and treated us to amazing service and one of the best meals we have ever had. Amazing food, great wine and complimentary treats including liquor for the adults... More

We stopped there for lunch because a thunderstorm started and we were glad we did. I had been looking at all the menus in the piazza, I think this is a good value. The food was good. My favorite pizza so far - thin crust to die for. Great sauce and mozz cheese so much better than in US!!! Also... More

We stopped here on our first night in Rome b/c it was close to our apartment. Being in the middle of tourist-crazy Piazza Navona, we were not expecting much. By the time we finished, we ranked it our best meal in Italy. I think the waiter appreciated that we tried so hard to speak in all Italian...he was so good... More

We finished our evening tour of Rome at this restaurant and must say that the service is the best we have experienced in Rome. Angelo was our waiter and he helped us select some very tasty meals whilst providing excellent service to help us finish early enough to get our tired daughter home. To finish our meal he dropped by... More

We were looking for simple food for lunch during a >30C day after a pleasant walk to and around the Piazza Navona, and our Pizza plus 0.5L of iced water was ideal. From our preview of the competition at the Piazza it seems that Bar Navona (which claims to be the oldest) delivers the best value for a traditional pasta... More
