OK, this place is kind of a "hole", off the beaten path, and nobody will consider it fine dining in any regard. But, would I go back? You bet. It's fun (albeit a little noisy) and the food is simple, but delicious. I don't recall if there's a menu, but if there is, it probably has only a handful of... More

My cousin always takes me here at least twice every time I visit Rome. There are no tourist. Just locals. It is a gem spot. The food is really good. The pizza is one of the best. They have lamb on the stick which is to die for.

It must have been one of the most informal eatery I have ever been. Very bear menu with bruschette arrosticini and pizza. That's all. The arrosticini where just OK. Some cold. Overall not hot enough to enjoy. As for the bruschette, Excellent bread but the topping were not the most appetizing. Just toasted bread slapped with some various sauces including... More

The Gallo Rosso is a great place celebrate a birthday or another event with friends over a pizza. The pizzas are strictly Roman style, i.e. thin crust, and very cheap. The service is lightning fast but without any pressure. They do a great line of tomato with toast and also kebabs (small skewered cubes of meat). If you ask they... More

Peculiar but interesting place to eat great pizza with very thin crust. A place where you mostly meet locals.

This is a very messy pizzeria. Service is approximate and informal, wooden tables/chairs, long queue. However, every now and then I like it as the food in general is super tasty and at the lowest possible prices.

I had the great opportunity to taste the pizza in this restaurant. Very good location, private parking (not an easy issue in Rome), veranda table. We had a fantastic starter with Rosticini (skewers) and traditional verdure fritte (fried vegetables). The pizza is very tasty and there's a great variety to choose at. A pity the place was way too loud,... More

I have been twice to this family restaurant in two different trips to Rome and it is an amazing place with an unbelievable pizza and great environment.

When you think of "local", this is it! Roman style pizza, bruschetta and arrosticini (lamb skewers), beer or wine. That's it! Nothing more. Because you don't need more! Not a fancy place but such an experience
