We stopped in to Pecorino while wandering "a piede" on a beautiful spring day. No one was there when we first got there; shortly thereafter the restaurant was filled with locals. Great food, a very interesting restaurant. Obviously frequented by people who know---- the locals.

Highly recommend this warm inviting place. Marco our waiter was perfectly versed with the menu and his recommendations were fabulous. From the veal hocks to trippa, pasta to die for with guanciale and fava beans (allá griola), and roast veal that melts! Amazing and highly...More

As a tourist it's hard to know this was good Roman cuisine. I was told by local friends that it is. TBH I found it nice but a bit bland. We had three types of carciofi (meh), some average pasta dishes, saltimbocca and pecorino with...More

Have been here for dinner twice. Both times, we were the only native English speakers. The fried artichokes were amazing, as was the penne arrabbiata and eggplant pamagiana. The staff was friendly and service prompt. Would definitely return on every trip to Rome.

Prime location and nice staff, but that's all for me. Basic old timey decor and average food didn't make for a great evening. We had fritti for antipasto and it was fairly bland and slightly overlooked. My cacio e pepe was too salty and, as...More

The food is really delicious, amazing pizza, but in the evenings it's very busy. Better reserve a table in advance.

Excellent authentic food. Artichokes to die for and wonderful caio e pepe spaghetti. Overall an excellent place in a great area of Rome with little touristy stuff.

My friend took me here and we had a lovely meal. We had the fried artichokes which were delicious and then wonderful fresh pasta with fabulous artichokes ... To conclude semi fresco sabayon... Amazing!

Locals eat here. The place is well known and busy. You get a traditional roman menu. Not cheap but I suppose the prices are average for Rome. If you order meat be aware, that is all you will get. You need to order Veggies and...More

Visited with a group of friend by suggestion of a local. Very traditional restaurant. We had artichokes in many different ways and they were a-ma-zing. I didn't like the pasta very much, it was full of oil. A nice experience overall

Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio,

Is this the restaurant of Maurizio's uncle Franco? Maurizio has a restaurant in Norwalk, CT called Osteria Romano and he highly recommends Trattoria Pecorino for a dinner in Rome. We will be in ROme on June 17th and would like to make a reservation if this is the restaurant.
