Il Gabriello is an extremely popular restaurant located downstairs (basement?) of a building just a couple of blocks from the Spanish Steps. It has a fairly standard Roman menu, but also offers quite a bit of seafood. The vibe in the place is very active,...More

Wonderful atmosphere and excellent seafood. Reminiscent of the old time Roman restaurants where friends meet who want to talk to one another - low key and not for kids. They would be bored, anyway.

Dined here in July and were delighted by the beautiful and delicious food and very attentive, friendly service. They were very honest with the recommendations and although the restaurant was full we felt like the only ones there. The food was creative and well flavored....More

The food, service and ambiance is wonderful! You will enjoy your meal at Il Gabriello. On a personal note, I first went to this restaurant in 1994 when a much younger person backpacking through Europe. At that time, the restaurant was in its infancy, but...More

to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most

place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and
Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with
enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s
best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a
fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to
