I love this restaurant! Have been coming here on my trips to Rome since I discovered it 5 years ago! Best place to eat, delicious seafood, meat, pasta and dolci! My favorites: Raviolis di zucca with gamberi sauce, rissotto di zucchini alle gambe, branzino, saltinboca,...More

– Pretty ordinary Italian home cooking; crowded basement space, good location. Staff helpful but clearly stretched.

Excellent service and food (try the Saltimbocca alla Romana - you will not regret it!). The restaurant is very cosy, set in a basement, a short walk from the Spanish Steps. Please note there is no outdoor serving (which is not a bad think if...More

Booked from previous reviews. Excellent restaurant, delicious food and wine and excellent service. Great setting for a romantic meal but would equally be as good for a get together with friends.

Il Gabriello serves all of the classic dishes of Rome, like cacio e pepe, veal saltimbocca, etc. - in a charming atmosphere with excellent service and a well-priced wine list. The platter of prosciutto and cured meats, homemade raviolis and the veal were highlights, but...More

We had an excellent dinner here. I had the swordfish with a soup and enjoyed both. Good service, good atmosphere. Upon entering we walked down stairs into a vaulted room; neat! Soup, secondo, and wine came to 50 euros.

Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields
to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most
desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best
place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and
Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with
enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s
best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a
fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to

We made a reservation, but it was not that busy the night we went. I'd say it would be safer to make one!

Amex and Visa but not sure if Amex was accepted. Europe refers to MasterCard as Maestro. It and Visa are widely accepted. I bought Euros before I left. Just convenient to have as I landed. Enjoy Italy
