Everything was outstanding - the food, friendly service and great atmosphere. If you go to only one restaurant in Rome, this is the one!

From the perfect service to the classic Roman menu (try the fish!), you will love this family-run restaurant. The family members make it an extra special experience.

I had dinner the other day and I liked the atmosphere, the staff and especially the food. It is a small and elegant restaurant.

The menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering dishes. We had bruschetta and parma ham with watermelon as a starter. They were exquisite. As a main course we ordered linguine with lobster mmmm and fillet, sides potatoes & vegetables,. They complimented us with a liqueur of our choice at the end of our dinner. Our waiter was an adorable, very... More

By far the best restaurant we encountered on our visit to Rome. So good we visited twice! Wonderful atmosphere, excellent food & attentive service. Situated down a steep flight of steps in a cellar like setting the tables are layed with white linen & quality glassware. On both occasions we had a superb pasta main course, side salad, carafe of excellent... More

Located near Plaza di Spagna, is a lovely place. The food was exquisite and the service is excellent. You do need reservation, though.

We ate in this charming sub-subterranean restaurant in Oct 2016. It was featured on Rick Steves Europe and we had to give it a try. The restaurant is lovely. Small, like most Rome restaurants, but warm, and inviting. Barrelled ceilings, decorated with colorful art made it a very romantic place. It is very close to the Spanish Steps, in a... More

We had a fabulous evening as a group of 4, terrific food and wine and very friendly staff. Although it is underground, it's been done very well, with fascinating art and objects around the walls (does the artist B.Zarro really exist?).

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
