Oh my gosh! That Gnutella flavour! So consistent, completely covered the other two tasty flavours. Really the best I have ever had, Seriously. Pity only for the service. We sat for ordering some pastries and coffee and one of the younger waiters did not treat us well (and some other customers as well). Totally a different thing from a more... More

Gelato was good (except for the mint one - disgusting). Do not be misled by variety of flavours claimed, many are not available, and rude servers would immediately tell "you stupid choose from what you see".

I want to go back to this place: The gelato was the best I've ever had, and the prices very reasonable. The atmosphere is unique, too. Don't miss it!

I spend more time in Florence than Rome but the gelato here would rival any in Florence, incredible, don't miss it.

You'll find endless places to try italian ice creams, but this is THE place! A delicious, creamy ice cream, with amazing flavours. It's near the Pantheon, do drop by.

We have been going to Giolitti for over thirty years, and it still is the best location for a gelato in Rome. It also offers a pleasant sitting area close to Italy's Parliament.

I stopped in today due to how busy it was and the colorful window displays. I wasn't super impressed. The gelato was ok and very reasonably priced. While it is fun to say that I had a gelato from one if the oldest gelaterias in Rome, I've had much better in Rome and elsewhere.

We were tempted to just grab a cone as there were long queues bug in so glad we stopped! The restaurant is reserved for those ordering and so we found a seat relatively easily and the menu is incredible - I could have happily eaten any of it! We chose a dessert and although amazing, it was huge - definitely... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
