It does not look like much from the outside, but this is a really good restaurant. Reservations are necessary, it is fully booked. The staff is friendly. The food is very good and the servings are generous.

Crowded trattoria full of character and happy locals. Food served quickly, if time is of essence to you. Typical menu. Rushed but polite staff.

During my 4 days in Rome visited 3 times. Typical and non-touristy Roman fare featuring the "canonical" Roman pasta mainstays; carbonara, cacio e' pepe and amatricana. Myriad of appetizers to choose from the appetizer "station"! Reasonably priced menu overall. Small space with tight seating but worth a visit.

I'm not sure who rates these places but I've had better food on airplanes....and not in first class. The pasta came out in 5 minutes, pretty sure they just moved it off the plate from the last guest and put it in the microwave. To back that up we ordered the lamb (also out in 5 minutes after the grewl... More

We came here for dinner one night because it was down the street from where we were staying. We made sure to make reservation because they are typically booked solid and we were turned away the previous night. Our waiter was not very friendly and it didn't improve as the meal went on. We found the service to be very... More

So we went to this restraunt with my parents and my boyfriend. At first, place looks very authentic and there are only local guests. But that was the only positive impression we got during the dinner. We waited for our meal 40 min, while few other guests that came later then we were already eating. Waiter promised us every ten... I imagine that Hostaria Romana is rated high because its a typical Italian restaurant and that's what people want to have in Rome. Unfortunately a typical Italian or typical restaurant in any country is only showing the average. Hostaria Romana is above average, but it is not a place I would go twice. I have found that best Italian food... More

Based on tbe reviews for this place we had high expectations. Tried calling for a reservation and the language barrier almost made it impossible. Called the next day and was able to get one for the following day. They had a line waiting when the doors opened and turned away anyone that did not have a reservation. We were sat... More

We was really confortable in this restaurant. Personal are VERY FRIENDLY and familiar and food is very good. Traditional pasta and other kind of food. Recommend carchioffi alla romana (artichokes) to starters. Recommend to wait half an hour before openning or reserve before.

Thank Josep O

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
