Food and service were excellent. As antipasto we ate delicious sea urchins, fabulous carciofi alla giudia (deep fried artichoke) and a fantastic plate of Tagliatelle ai lupini (pasta with very little clams). The wine was very good. Also the dessert was great. Highly recommended.

Went on a Sunday, and the risotto we had was great but rest of meal was okay. Service was poor, especially as restaurant was quiet. Side salads coming after the meals had been finished and taking 15 Minutes to get a bill after asking 3 times

we went there for lunch on a sunday. It had been recommended by our accommodation so we were much looking forward to a good meal. Quite rude when we arrived and just signalled to a table outside - just as well we wanted outside. Eventually one menu and a wine list were thrown on the table. After 20 mins of... More

This was by far our favorite place to eat. The food and service is excellent. Our server was very patient and helpful when it came to translating the menu for us. We left the selection of wine up to our server and he never disappointed us. We highly recommend Alla Bucaniera if you want a quiet and pleasant dinner.

As we lived just across the street, we decided to give this restaurant a go for our last night in Rome. We sat on the terrace which was nice because it was still warm but also annoying as about 7-8 rose sellers came by and were very persistent. The food was very nice, we had a shared antipasto of prosciutto... More

A typical Roman restaurant off the beaten track. We just had fried vegetables as prima piatti and spaghetti al vongole. Both dishes were delicious. We drank some good Italian wine and service was quite good.

Grilled dorado (orato) was quite good, my son liked his meat and my was mostly ok according to Italian standard. Chocolate cake was average, but the profitroli with Chantilly were quite good. Good, solid place for lunch or dinner. Good service.

Off the beaten track, 15 minutes walk from Vatican walls, but good value, tasty food.. I would order mains after you finish your starter. Ours arrived while we were still eating first course.

We stopped here, hoping to grab a quick snack, late in the evening. The staff was very warm, welcoming, and accommodating. We both had gnocchi dishes (incredible). We stayed until closing, at 11:30, enjoying our "vino." Great spot for a dinner, early or late. 10 minutes north of Vatican.
