We visited this restaurant as the close of a tour of Italy. Service was excellent and the many courses of food were delicious, even though we came as a group. I especially enjoyed the sea bass cooked with rosemary. The DJ/singer was talented and entertaining and everyone had a fun evening. I am looking to returning alone to try some... More

This restaurant has been around for a number of years, has grown in size but the cuisine has not particularly improved. We ordered a Tartare of Salmon in Pinzimonio which we expected to be simply a Tartare of Salmon with oil salt and pepper (which is what Pinzimonio is) - instead we received basically a Julienne of celery, carrots and... Our tour group enjoyed a four course farewell dinner at Checco on a weekday evening. The starter was the usual plate of prosciutto, followed by pasta and the final plate of grilled beef and potatoes. The beef was grilled to perfection, but the desert was an excessively sweet chocolate mousse. There was a very good vocalist/piano player who played many... More

Despite the beautiful setting of the restaurant and the rather high price for a restaurant in this category - the service at the lowest level!!! Spoiled all the good mood of the holiday! We waited about an hour only menu. After numerous requests, at the end, of outrage - brought menu. Finally,but...we made a huge mistake: we asked the wine... More

In town on business this place was reccomended by some italian colleagues. Let's start with the positives. The ambiance is outstanding! The entire outside of the place and the fountains in great. Inside the large dining room there is ample space to accommodate large groups. They have a coat check girl, whichwe all found helpful as well. To continue with... More

The restaurant comprises two parts - a pizzeria and the main restaurant. The latter is set in a very large, old farmhouse. The main dining room is very grand, headed by an open fireplace that would be big enough for a table and 4 chairs! The food was good, though not exceptional, and the service appeared to be a chore... What a great place. Our group of 9 was treated to a wonderful dining experience here by our Rome friends, the two Mauro's. What a wonderful experience! The plates of food and bottles of beer and wine never stopped coming. Service and food were excellent. It's hard to get to if you are staying in central Rome, but it is... More

Situated in EUR - the area south of the centre Mussolini had chosen to hold a world fair celebrating 20 years of fascism, which never took place because of the second world war - this restaurant, founded in 1931, is still run by the Testa family, who take great pride in their roots and tradition. Around New Year they give... More

This restaurant was reconmmended by my hotel staff as an elegant and tasty Italian restaurant and it was perfect to introduce my foreign colleagues to higher quality Italian cuisine than what is served in touristic restaurants in Rome city center. No menu in English, everything in Italian only... which was not convenient for the foreigners but I explained that it... More
