This is one of the most authentic pizza crust made in the wood fire oven. The pizzas are huge for people with big appetite. We had a Capriciosa pizza, salmon salad with a Mojito and Tiramisu for dessert. We have been to two branches, one...at city walk and in JBR. Both experiences were amazing and we had great time.More

Nice pizza and cheap margarita at 5 euros. Grab and go and eat outside on standing tables... much quicker than lining up and save the cover charge. I found mine not cooked enough. But it was food. Think i enjoyed sorbillo better or another place...i tried in salerno. Do and tick it off your bucket list. Inside noisy and crowded. Perfect grounds for catching covid ( if not the line up). This is another reason to take out.More

Simple ingredients of great quality are a must when it comes to Napoletan pizza. And da Michele did not disappoint us. Excited to eat at Jude Law's table in the restaurant where an Eat.Pray.Love scene was filmed

Honestly the pizzeria is just famous because of the movie, but the pizza is really average taste. I had the impression that they save on ingredients. It doesn’t taste like real napoletan pizza. If you wanna each cheap - it’s the right place. If you...wanna eat good napoletan pizza - better choose another place.More

We were only in Naples for two days, so we didn't get to explore and eat as much pizza as we had wanted to. But if you want a great, old school no frills Napoli pizza experience, this is a great option. The pizzas are...piping hot when they come out and are quite big for an individual size, but they're only 5 euro each. They offer 4 different pizzas, we of course went with the traditional Margherita which was very very good. Beverages are limited - water, coke, beer. We got in pretty quickly to sit down, but by the time we left there was a large crowd of about 20-25 people outside waiting to be seated. The turnaround is pretty efficient, we were in and out within a half an hour or so, but keep in mind there may be a long wait.More

Amazing pizza in the most traditional way, popular for a reason! We had the Marinara and the Margherita and both were exceptional.

The clerk at the desk of my B&B recommended this restaurant because it was only a short walk away, and he said it was terrific; however, he advised me to go at an off hour or I would face a wait of an hour or...more. I think I went around 5:30 (don’t actually remember, but it was way early by Italian standards), and I only waited about three minutes. One margherita pizza and one beer was 8 Euros. Forced myself to eat half the pizza despite being stuffed out of my gourd by then—knew it was a once-in-a-lifetime thing. Fabulous pizza. Just perfect. Important note: although Michelin rated, this is a *very* no-frills pizza joint, not a linger-over-a-five-course-dinner-with-wine restaurant. You wait in line. You get your table. You order and receive your magnificent pizza in short order. You eat the glorious food. You pay. You leave. (It’s a pizza mecca. You’re there for the glorious pie, not the ambience.) Personally, I wouldn’t do takeout because the experience is half the fun. Also, the pizza comes out of the oven blazing hot. I’d worry that it would melt into a big mess or get soggy during delivery. But if that’s the only way I could get it, I’d take it. It’s that good.More

Like every single tourist in Naples, we went to da Michele for their famous 5€ pizzas. We arrived on a Monday night to a thronging and confused mix of people, being barked at by different employees. As we weren't staying too far away and couldn't...even join the eat in queue, we opted for take away. That queue moved relatively quickly and it took another 15-20 minutes for our pizzas to come out. The restaurant offers three pizzas (the 4th is a half and half), a margherita which was nice, with a good amount of mozzarella, nice tomato sauce but not enough basil, à marinara which was the weakest of the three - the dried oregano was too retro, too boring for me, and a final pizza with garlic and percorino, which was a nice surprise. These pizzas are good, but not perfect and we did eat better ones in the city. For 5€ they were excellent, but the price trade off was too great for me : in addition to the lack of choice, at least two of the pizzas had been insufficiently stretched which seems like a beginner's mistake. I felt no need to go back having "done" da Michele.More
