After many hours of research into the perfect cooking class on Capri I found Michel’angelo and booked it! I can’t say enough good things! We did the Master Class and made gnocchi with a basil pesto, a meatball pie/casserole and a lemon almond cake. The...class size is max of 12 people but we got lucky and were the only ones that class!  The cooking class is held inside of the Michel’angelo restaurant which is stunning! Greenery and lemon’s everywhere. We walked in and met Chef Gianluca and his wife, Holly and they immediately offered us to sit and relax with a glass of Prosecco. After our fill of Prosecco we headed to the kitchen and got cooking. Gianluca is a really talented Italian chef who taught us many things about Italian cooking styles and ingredients. Alex and I both cook so we really enjoyed learning new ways to cook in the kitchen. Also they grow most of their own ingredients and make their own wine! Holly is Australian so we were able to converse the most with her and she was breaking down the processes for us. She was so friendly and a sensational woman!  After we were done cooking and having copious amounts of wine we sat down to enjoy our 3 course lunch and boyyyyy did we make some delicious food! Never had anything like the casserole and can’t wait to make these at home!  Ciao Holly & Gianluca we will see you again next time! More

We dined at this lovely, recommended, off the beaten path (no ocean view) spot on a beautiful fall day last weekend. With the summer season ending, and Covid, we were the only diners at 1pm on a Sunday and enjoyed having the place to ourselves....There were 2 waiters taking excellent care of us and one spoke very good English. We perused the informational menu and ordered a lovely, organic white wine (I don't usually love Italian whites but this was extra yummy!). The tomato mozzerella caprese salad was one of the best we have ever eaten, anywhere (it was Capri after all!). Tomatoes were obviously grown fresh on the island, never refrigerated, picked at perfect ripeness, and the mozzerella, made in house I believe, was amazing. My husband ordered a fresh fish with grilled eggplant and zucchini and I had some salt and peppered shrimp (I do wish they would take off the shells in Europe!) and both were tasty. We were too full to order dessert but the waiters brought us a very tasty lemon almond cake slice topped with powdered sugar that was a delicate perfection! Sad we didn't get to meet the owners but we will be back again! Highly recommend this restaurant for some of the freshest, tastiest, true farm/ocean to table dining you will ever experience!More

Delicious vegan pasta dish!! Oh yes. I had a delicious pasta dish. The olive oil there is superb. Many different types which you can also purchase and order online! The two waiters that served me were outstanding. A lovely visit. Thank you!

After walking around Capri on a warm summer day, we decided to look for a place to stop for lunch. It had been fairly busy in town, so we were happy to be in a section that was quieter and away from the crowds. We...just happened upon Michelangelo's Ristorante, which is on a side street and easy to miss. We were happy to go inside the cool, light, and airy restaurant, filled with lots of plants and windows. We both had pizza - one margarita and one with sausage and red onions. Both were delicious and filling. The house wine was excellent. Service was good and the prices were reasonable.More

Our foursome just returned from having lunch. Everyone's food was fabulous. We had smoked mozzarella, raviolis and one had an eggplant dish she said was the best she had ever tasted. The service was so good I stopped to comment to the owner how pleased...we were. The setting inside is very relaxing with lovely roses and jazz music. The total bill was very reasonable and in line with all of our meals in Italy. This is not even close to a tourist trap as some have stated. A tourist trap will have a guy outside Hawking you in. A cuperto is the normal standard in all of Itali. Some restaurants don't but they usually don't offer food of this quality. I read several of the owner's responses to bad reviews and thought he was generous, polite and professional. I really liked this place and can easily recommend it.More

Our lunch had 5€ coperto charged. Disclosed menu costs associated with service and dining is the expected standard. Michelangelo added a surcharge at billing as a cover charge for the table. Unethical.More

Beautiful restaurant, very central. Excellent attentive service. Had the calamari to start to share, it was beautiful. We shared the fish for 2 as main, again so tasty. Also a beautiful bottle of house wine. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

A great find, thanks to Trip Advisor, as its off the beaten track and not one you would easily stumble across! So many delicious choices across the whole menu that you can see from the many photos on restaurants website some of the dishes on...offer. One of our favourite meals whilst we were away in Italy.More
