We have eaten there twice in two days - so that is an indicator! Not the best restaurant ever, but the food is good, reasonably priced and no nasty surprises on the bill. A good wine list and very good service. Nice pizzas, good lasagne and good squid this evening. Amalfi at the end of the season has reducing choices,... More

Delicious complimentary bruschetta was followed by excellent deep fried vegetables and cheese and tasty pasta courses, nicely served and reasonably priced for the area. If you like contemporary Italian you will enjoy this place!

We were attracted to this restaurant in the Main Street in Amalfi because they had profiteroles on the menu!!! We didn't have pasta for a change the chicken stew was really tasty and the steak my daughter had was really good too and yes The profiteroles were very good. May be an idea to book as it was very popular.... More

Read reviews that praised this popular venue, but were disappointed. Very busy with tightly packed tables. While waiting for my starter, tables were rearranged to accommodate more guests, with one almost sitting on my knee! Staff with few words, no eye contact and grim expressions! Couldn't fault the food, but plates 'dumped' in front of us, and as soon as... More

You get what you pay for! Although, the prices are reasonable, the food is ok at best. The service is lackluster also. Waiters are not very attentive and take customers for granted. In this place, stick with pizza and pasta. I can't imagine they could mess that up. Anything else... (chicken, fish) and you will be disappointed. The food just... More

We arrived at this restaurant on our first night in Amalfi. We were tired from traveling and after walking up the main street, saw this restaurant and decided to stay. The 'average' rating might be partly our fault as we started off with a fried dish at a simple Italian restaurant. However, after this catastrophic order, we shared mussels and... More

Its popular because portions are big and price is ok... Not my favorite meal in Amalfi cost but it was the cheapest!

In a town of high prices and small portions this restaurant really stands out as an exception. Cheerful staff. Prompt service. Good atmosphere. Delicious food. Indoors only, which is a shame on a warm evening but make sure you go there regardless- you won't be disappointed.

Many of the menus in Amalfi look the same but Il Tari has some interesting dishes. Mine was so good I am having the same tonight. Big tubes of pasta stuffed with hake & shrimp in a shell fish & tomato sauce followed by the lighted sponge with lemon cream & fruit. It is easy to find up the main... More
