We entered the restaurant and no space was available, so they told us to come back in 45 minutes. When we came back an over weight man, of whom I don't remember the name, was very rude and told us to choose our meal very quickly at the entrance before we even sit at the table. The food was ok,... We had lunch here. Make sure you have a reservation and be in time as this place fills up fast even at 1400 there was a line on a weekday!! Any how the paella was worth every bit of it. We had paella valenciana and it was rich, tasty & flavourful. One thing to note is it takes abt 45... More

We booked a table for lunch and weren't disappointed. The vegetable plate to start was huge - griddled aubergine, courgette, tomato, mushroom, asparagus and artichoke, all with a herby butter dressing. Very tasty. The Valencian Paella was delicious - like nothing I'd had before. We didn't eat for the rest of the day!

Pre booked lunch here but it wasnt actually that busy while we were in. Had the vegetable platter and mojama to start - both very tasty and large portions. The valencian paella was superb though there wasnt a huge amount of meat in it. Freshly made and brought to the table with that lovely caramelised layer stuck to the pan... More

We had an excellent "arroz senyoret" at La Riua and we highly recommend it! The only problem was the long wait between starters and the paella (but the restaurant kindly responded with an extra starter). For dessert, a modern version of a typical dish called Arnadi, which was excellent.

THE FOOD: supposedly one of the best Paellas in the world. Had the Valencian and Squid - both good but obviously different. Portions are very big! THE SERVICE: smooth and friendly. Nothing to complain about THE RESTAURANT: like it. The venue gives you the feeling that the restaurant is something special - not because of the modern, but because of... More

We had lunch and were so happy with it! This was the best paella we've had. The deserts are also tasty. We tried flan and another one that I can't remember the name of, but it was made of a traditional fruit that tastes very nutty and the texture was white and soft, my guess was it's a rice pudding... Amazing food in a traditional setting. Book ahead if you can. The paella we had was the seafood type rather than the rabbit one which is typical of the area. Still it was cooked to perfection.

We ate good paella here, with shrimps and squid. The restaurant looks nothing special. A minus was the waitress, who was very unfriendly. She just "threw" our paella on the table...

Following the recommendation of a local baker we find this fantastic paella restaurant a few steps from Plaza de la Reina in Valencia's city centre. Unpretentious from the outside, you would think it's even closed, but don't be mistaken: you're in for the best Valencian paella experience. The staff is very friendly. They will even take your photo. The paellas... More
