It's was a very nice place. Like that it was not so many tables but we missed the extra service from the staff. They didn't look like they liked their work. The food was very good and so was the wine. But for us this...More

We chose the Menu Riff tasting menu, and found the first two courses very similar, both tuna, and later in the meal there were two further courses that were very similar, again we were surprised by the lack of variety. The tomato salad was the...More

This is a first class restaurant. It is expensive, but you get whole package of artistic, tasty food and wine. It is a very professional and friendly staff. After three hours and a menu with wine, you are leaving the restaurant with a smile. I...More

We booked our table well ahead of our trip, knowing that we wanted to experience a Michelin restaurant on our vacation. While the building is very nondescript, the inside was enjoyable, if the lighting a little bright. I came to enjoy the lighting as dinner...More

Modern and cozy restaurant with a Michelin Star, high quality selected ingredients and innovative designs. Modern and stylish ambience. Adequate price for local rating, very fantastic experience. A michelin star

Excellent tasting menu. While we did not do the wine pairings, the seemingly endless arrival of specially considered dishes was such a treat. The quality service was impeccable, and even the two signature breads were a taste from heaven. Go! Enjoy!

We looked forward to our visit to Riff on our final night in Valencia. Concerns were immediately raised with the entrance which is like entering an office block. Worse was to follow and the dining room that greeted us was more like a school classroom...More

We had dinner here and I appreciate that the staff tried to fit all our requirements given that I am pregnant and I cannot eat everything. My partner had the Riff menu with wine pairing and was quite satisfied by all the dishes. The menu...More

When I say budget edition, I don´t mean this in a bad way. The thing is with Riff is in fact that you can have the experience of a Michelin star restaurant to a starting price as a normal restaurant. We had lunch with our...More

Just finished lunch here, the food was really good and reasonably priced. The wine pairing was very creative as to be expected in a Michelin starred establishment. However one thing, or should I say person, let the entire service side down and left myself and...More

To be a professional chef is a magnificent thing. It is always a pleasure to be able to cook for people, for friends, family and for my children, who have been great fans as well as honest critics since they were small. I love to cook at home, to invite friends and to make a Spanish 'cocido', in my own style obviously, or spatzle, a recipe from the Black Forest, which reminds me of my grandmother who was a phenomenal cook and my grandfather who I still remember collecting lamb's lettuce from beneath he snow. I always like to know the person I am cooking for, to know something of their personality so I am better able to achieve the aim of making them happy through the food that I prepare. For that reason my restaurant is small. I enjoy going to the Central Market every morning and seeing the stallholders, my friends, chatting with them and feeling accepted as part of their world. I never cease to appreciate the architecture of the market building or the quality of produce throughout the changing seasons. Another extraordinary place is the auction at the port where I buy fresh fish. The buildings are ugly, almost third world, I hope that someday they realise the great potential of this part of our city, perhaps even open it up to tourists. Imagine a stroll between the boats, between the fishermen, watching as they unload boxes of the freshest possible fish! Que calidad! I cannot imagine doing anything else. I feel incredibly lucky to have found this profession. It sounds pretentious I know, but I am truly delighted to be able to dedicate myself to the cuisine of this region, with that produce, that quality, that tradition that I discover little by little, I cook Valencian food, but I cook MY Valencian food.
