Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Still serving authentic, quality tapas and some larger dishes with a selection of 3 Beers (Currently Mahou)
Service is quick and informal and there's usually some space to eat inside on benched tables or outdoors.
Be adventurous and try some of their specialities.

At our request, he prepared a dish for us based on:
CAMARROJAS based on:
. Salted sardines, known as de bota
. dried ñoras
. tender garlic
. Fried eggs
The result is a spectacular dish, ... with fried sardines, ñora and garlic and on top fried eggs drizzled with the leftover oil from the operation.
Chef Juan a crack
All this washed down with a wine from Bodegas DELAMPA 'Red 50 years DELAMPA' with aromas and flavors worthy of the god Bacchus.
All very well

We have visited Las Jarras many many times over the past 23 years and it is always superb. Recently refurbished the bar looks great and the food and wine is certainly on point. A much more traditional type of tapas bar, Las Jarras will leave you feeling like you have actually tasted Spain.

This is the first Tapas Bar/Restaurant I visited when I moved to the area sixteen years ago. I now live in France but make sure I visit Jarras whenever I'm in Torrevieja. It is quite a small place but has a large array of tapas, a choice of other dishes and, rather importantly, wine from the barrel. I was there in January. The personnel has changed over the years but the quality was as good as ever and it remains one of the best in town..

This is a lovely family run bar/restaurant which serves food throughout the day. The tapas is freshly prepared and delicious. The poor mans potatoes are a particular speciality. There is a good wine selection.

We have been visiting this tapas places for years now, and never yet have I had poor service or bad food. The choice of tapas (20+) is an overall choice, fish/meat/veg/hams/cheeses. If its your first time there make sure you ask for a tapa(tapas), not a portion(raciones), average prices tapas 2.50€ portion 4.50+, the meatballs are always good, as is the pork dishes, a nice shandy(clara) goes down well. An excellent places, good service, and great foods. everybody has an opinion on trip advisor in Norway, and Scotland food is what you make of it.

We came there with good expectations. I had asked one of the local bar owners near our apartment where we should go to get the full spanish tapas experince and he said with a flat tone that there were so many all over the place in Torrevieja centre. I tried to rephrase and said that we would like something less touristy and something with great food that even he would eat. So he recommended Las Jarras.
We found it was in the dead centre of Torrevieja, between ice cream bars, china restaurants and indian restaurants. Well, I wasn't going to judge by it's location yet. If it had been there forever it had to be a reason right?
Our waiter was nothing more than average. We were so excited and told him that this was our first time to try tapas in Spain, and that we wanted lots of different dishes. We wanted to try the meatballs, but then he just fringed his nose and he was not happy with our choice. Well, that's fine, he's the waitor, he probably knows which food is best anyway. So we asked him to give us suggestions and we told him that we both like spicy for and lots og garlic.
Our dishes came quite fast, even the meatballs. The meatballs was great! The rest was pretty bland, and didn't taste mush at all. The ham he recommended was also good, but that's not the restaurants gain, they had just chopped it up and put it on a plate. I was all just boring. We also told the waitor that we might order some more, but he never came to our table, not even once, and there wasn't really that many people either..
The price was ok, average like the rest of the restaurants.
The house wine was quite good though!
I think the reason as to why it has been there forever, is because it is in the dead centre, right next to all the touristy stuff, and it looks a bit more genuin than a lot of the other places. We also remember walking by there at lunch hours, nearly sitting down before the smell of toilet perfume hit us :P
All in all, I think a lot of people would find this restaurant pretty good, but for us it just couldn't keep up with all the other great places we've been to! So read this review with a pich of salt, as we would say in Norway, cause we have very high expectations ;)
