We ate here because the tapas y Tacos place was reserved for the whole night. They had plenty of room for us, but thats not to say it was empty. I had tacos al pastor con queso and it was delicious. My boyfriend had the enchiladas which were very good as well. salsa verde=good, salsa rojo=better. Go here whenyou are... More

This is a good Mexican dining experience. The menu is ample and the ingredients are fine. I would recommend this restaurant to people looking to have a taste of Mexico away from the fast-food chains.

My colleague and I enjoyed dining at this restaurant. The setting is definitely "La Fiesta" even though it says La Mordida. Salsa was quite spirited without being excessively so and they even had huitlacoche, something, until now, I had not seen outside of Mexico - had it in a quesadilla. Had fajitas which were again spicy, but no too much.... More

This restaurant is situated in a rather nice part of Chueca with a lot of charming streets. The restaurant interior is rather nice but the food is unfortunately only mediocre, covering most basics but not much more than that. The "1/2 racions" are rather small and pricy, and unfortunately the quality of the food is decent at best. The salads... More

My friends and I, upon our Erasmus year, discovered this gem after trying its of Mexican places in Madrid. This was by far the best Mexican we've ever had! Delicious nachos, incredible enchiladas and mouthwatering Margaritas! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. A bonus is a free shot of tequila or margarita after paying the bill. This is a... This is a great place for tex-mex food, starting with decoration, ambience and of course the selection of food and drinks. Fair price/quality relation.

Aside from the food being amazing, we had the best experience with the staff! Our waitress didn't get impatient with our less-than-perfect Spanish and was happy to answer our questions. Before we left, another waiter offered us complimentary shots and chatted with us about our experience here in Spain. I genuinely felt welcomed there, unlike in many other restaurants we... More

I'm originally from San Diego and now live just a few streets over from La Mordida and have been quite a few times over the last year. While the staff is extremely nice, I have to say the food is just not good enough. On our last visit we started with some guacamole, which was very salty and came with... More

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
