Went as read several rave reviews about the seafood. This must be a Madrileno comfort food place because while good, it was nothing to shout about. The appetiser of lobster in some kind of sauce was decent. The free cod cruquettes were very good, truffle flavoured. Other dishes got better - green salad with tuna, clams in garlic sauce, grilled... More

We ordered quite a few different dishes and enjoyed every one of them. The one I liked the most was the "Salpicon de Bogavantes" which is a type of lobster. The restaurant kept sending us small trays of various complimentary items. My mouth still waters when I remember the tiny cod croquettes mmmmmm. Get there very early if you don´t... More

Everything is top at Rafa. The staff the food everything. The ensaladilla and salmon are one of the best. Warning, you pay accordingly to it, so be ready for a considerable bill.

Rafa is simply a top notch Spanish restaurant. Been here quite a few times and have to say not only the seafood, but also a large part of the menu is outstanding. The service is quite experienced, although sometimes there are too often at the table and prices seem to be a little up in the last months (a refurbishment... More

Rafa Restaurant has a history! Over 50 years of history. Looks old fashioned but seafood and fishes are really fresh and very well prepared. You can feel exceptional,Three waiters were serving one table with 5 people.

I have dinner here about 4 times a year- whenever I come to Madrid. Lastly on 1 October 2015. Although I always try other restaurants for their fish and shellfish this remains consistently 1st rate. The salpiçon (be it)de mariscos or bogavante is an excellent starter to share as are the boquerones in vinegar or the percebes. In fact the... More

Really do not understand why this place is not more highly rated on TripAdvisor. Went at the recommendation of a hotel concierge and enjoy a really exceptional meal. Excellent fresh seafood, well prepared and well presented, very attentive wait staff, crisply clean table linens, well lit and a cheerful ambiance. Highly recommend it.

Very nice marisqueria, good for a biz lunch on the terrace. The best choice, among the whole good menu, is the ensaladilla rusa..

As soon as I sat the manager (host) told me that the kitchen was closed (4:00 pm), the web site says that they serve food until 5:00 pm. I don't want to think That I was discriminated.

And old time traditional restaurant. Excellent service and very good seafood. The oysters were excellent and the kokotxas spectacular. If you want good fish and seafood this is a perfect place. I will always come back.
