Executive menu for 19.50. Quality of food good. But the drink included is one glass of wine or similar beverage and one piece of bread. This kind of limited hospitality is not spanish. Go elsewhere to eat a menu del dia and you can drink...More

Excellent, Staff were very helpful, suggesting cheaper alternative dishes for me. I loved the open style restaurant.

Be ready to be transported into old-style Madrid, and Europe, for that matter. Whether you'll be eating inside or taking the food with you, there's a lot to choose from with a touch of France when it comes to the pastries. The atmosphere is lovely...More

Riofrío preserves today the decadent ambience of the 80s, both in the furniture and the music. +60 year-old professional maitres share the service with younger waiters. Typically, this is a place where you will feel comfortable if you're in your 60s-70s. If you're younger and...More

I enjoyed this restaurant with a group of 70 people, for which they have a reserved space with outside garden to have the starter drinks. Food and service where excellent. Minor remark is they don't understand English that good, which makes it sometimes a bit...More

Rio Frio is convenient to the Gran Melia Fenix and has outdoor seating. The food--their signature sandwich and the half of a chicken with fries--was good. Service was friendly and efficient. We ate outside, but the inside looked attractive.

Decent coffee place for breakfast if you do not want to splurge at the Gran Melia. I am told food is also god for lunch, but have not sampled yet.

Ran out of places to go? This is a quick bite eat so you can move on to the museums, etc. Nice location too.

Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where
many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where
the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and
people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main
thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is
Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables
serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture
of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses
