Had champignons and olives which were both amazing. Live music and quick service mad the atmosphere pretty good as well. I'm definitely going to return and I would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent choice for having a bite and calm down while walking! The mushrooms are delicious! And a cold beer from the tab always comes along! Definitely will come back!

If you visit Madrid definitely add Meson del Champinon to your must do list. It is a few metres down the hill (left hand side) when you're facing Mercado de San Miguel. These are the best flavoured mushrooms that you'll taste and they go brilliantly...More

We go to this little hole not the all for beer, wine and mushrooms. Thats all they serve. I would not go all the way to Madrid and skip this little gem. It's a must do in Madrid.

If you love mushrooms, this is the place for you. But it is busy and cramped, so expect to be shoulder to shoulder with other friendly mushroom eaters at this atmospheric cave under the Plaza Major. fast and friendly service.

I am not sure of the hours but they were open during the day around lunch time through late at night. Several times when we walked by they were open. I hope you stop in!
