Mercado de la Reina has very quality food, great service, it’s lively, frequented by locals and tourists. Busy for dinner, so make a reservation for a proper table. Otherwise, just grab a set by the bar. It’s what we do. Can’t go wrong w any...More

I quite liked this place as the ambiance is nice for aperitifs and tapas at the bar, as well as sitting down lunch. The prices are not the lowest can get in Madrid, however the quality of the meat and seafood is high, nicely elaborated...More

Centrally located lively place with a very friendly service. During our 5 days visit to Madrid we visited this place twice. We asked both times for some specialties and they didn't disappoint us. The grilled octopus was awesome.

Used this bar whilst staying over the road at the Iberostar. It has a real atmosphere, top quality well priced house wines, Cava and Tapas. Always busy, great staff and service. Do try a GinTonic, a real 6 second pour.

We were placed in the back and given menu's while we asked for tapas. This was clearly the tourist area, even maybe the tourist-trap area. We ordered octopus and cod since all things were really expensive and we wanted just different tapas dishes but that...More

We book a table for 10 so we were sit upstairs in the restaurant. Nice atmosphere and great Spanish food (I wouldn't call this restaurant a typical Spanish restaurant although uses Mediterranean ingredients). We ordered everything to share: starters such octopus, fried eggs with Jamón......More

After a full day walking and exploring town, we didn't feel like going very far to dine that evening. So we chanced to ask for a table in the next-door restaurant Mercado de la Reina. Well, we weren't disappointed! We got a table in the...More

Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where
many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where

thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is
Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables
serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture
