We had been there after a quick stroll through the quarter just to replenish the energy supply. Place was quite crowded and waiters quite pushy and unmotivated. Crowd is mostly local and a bit "see and to be seen". Menu was unusual, a good blend...More

The restaurant looks great, and the menu is an international blend, with some Spanish influences. Our starters were fine, a goat salad and an egg/sausage/mashed potatoes. The entrees were poor. Veal which was drowned in a canned heavy brown sauce, and was quiet tough to...More

The place was packed early with mostly locals and so this must say something about the restaurant as compared to the other many options in the Chueca barrio. The quality of the food was mostly good and the presentation was excellent. Prices seemed to indicate...More

My wife and I were meeting up with a very good friend in Madrid and we ended up here on his recommendation. It was an incredible place. The menu was extensive and the service was great. It was quite busy, but this created a vibrant...More

Last review was rated as average, most recent visit - poor. The beautiful decor and surroundings cannot compensate for the very mediocre quality of the food. Appetizers, salads and desserts hold up well, however the mains all need some serious attention. Ordered the 3 meat...More

Sunday lunch was disappointment, first they brought us wrong beverage order. The starter to share was ok, but then I had 3 meats with Thai noodles, my husband ordered another meat dish, but both were served literally floating in the same sauce. The sauce was...More

Loved my dinner so much, I came back twice and in a city known for its food, that's pretty remarkable. Friendly waiter who speaks English. Great bread, cold beer, excellent sangria, healthy food options including gluten free. Located in the Chueca neighborhood of Madrid which...More

Good quality/price, some staff can be less welcoming than others especially when it is busy, but generally a nice restaurant to go. At lunch time monday to friday there is a fix menu which is a very good price quality, dinner also fine.

As is so often the case, we stumbled on Bazaar on the last night of our trip, it was only a few 100 yards from our hotel on the edge of Chueca. Squid in its own Ink Croquetas and a very different but delicious greek...More

Ambience is great but my tuna was kind of dried and they threw a mango sauce but not a real mango chutney. There are hundreds of restaurants in Madrid, don't pick this one.

Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where
many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where
the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and
people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main
thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is
Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables
serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture
of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses
