Zalacain is highly recommended ,the carte is fabulous and the combination of favors is the work Of a genius.you must try the egg with Caviar and quail. The welcome is very warm, the seats are very comfortable and the art work in the restaurant gives it a homey atmosphere . The wine list has a great selection of wines, the... More

Zalacain was recommended to us by severally friends and they were all right. It is charming, and seems small and a wonderful menu.. I am a picky eater but there were many things on the menu that I could eat. It is expensive and is hard to get into, but worth it..

Really tasteless food, took the 7 course menu, the only dish that tasted good was the desert at the end. The dishes at times seemed like something you would expect at a fast food place and were mostly flavourless. The service was generally good, but not up to par compared to other Michelen star restaurants (e.g. No explanation of what... More

This is a well established formal restaurant and suitable for a special occasion. I had steak which was cooked just right and the red wine which accompanied the food was excellent. The staff were great with wonderful attention to detail.

Zalacain is an elegant formal restaurant offering diners the chance to experience old world charm, from flawless impeccable service to an haute cuisine menu of classical Spanish dishes. There are no gastronomical gimmicks at Zalacain. It’s traditional cooking using seasonal ingredients where you can easily over indulge as we did. As our Spanish hosts had been there several times, they... More

Definitely old school, one needs a jacket/sports coat and don't take it off. Despite this mild irritant the meal was good, the service attentive and the wine list outstanding. Had the tasting menu and despite small plates I reached my limit before the end. A good sign. If you are looking for hip and happening, then this is the wrong... More

- ravioli without truffel and foie gras - watery pumpkin soup - steak tartar not freshly chopped - extremely overpriced red wine - this has nothing to do with exclusive dining. - we paid for three persons: € 450,--!!!!!!

Glad to get a table at this Michelin star restaurant at last minute. We ordered their set menu of the day because we weren't sure what was good on the carte. The food was slightly disappointing. Salad was ordinary and the veal was too salty for our taste. However the ravioli and the prawns were delicious. There was an extra... More
