At first, don't expect the waiters treat you as in the US, people in Madrid are not wired like that, when I arrived the waiter seem cold and distant, I started to chat with him, and still he was very serious and he got me...More

My wife and I had lunch at this historical place with a couple of good friends that were visiting Madrid. We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful spring weather while sharing very tasty traditional Spanish "tapas": Food was good, service was cordial and prices were reasonable. I...More

Everything in this place smells old. The brownie tasted to fungus and the coffee was the worst. Only for uninformed tourists. And the worst: the price.

I love this cafe and its wonderful people. Even though I do not speak Spanish, staff were glad to assist in any way possible. Thank you for that kindness. This cafe is truly an historic marker for literary Madrid and Spain. The red wine choices...More

Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights
frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With
beautiful condominium buildings that make up most

quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large
shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle
