Very beautiful place. The food was very good. Not too expensive. Good coktails as well! But we were in between services so the staff was kinda slow.

Hearty breakfast with egg, bacon and fries. The food is quite tasty but the service needs to be a bit speedier. I had to get the waiter's attention to order and to get the bill. The interior decor is quite nice and feels classy. For 25-30 euros we got two big portions of breakfast with coffee/tea and freshly squeezed orange... More

We were brought her by some Spanish friends and had they not been with us we would never have gone in. It looks very expensive and a bit too high end for a coffee stop, how wrong we would have been. We got a fantastic welcome and straight away we were won over by the beautiful old style decor. Cakes... More

Nice place for resting with coffee and sweet, or even a shot drink. Staff is friendly. Prices are acceptable.

The place is beautiful and the location is amazing... but we were expecting more quality in the type foods...coffee is great, but still room for improvement in the outside tables...takes so long to come.

The place enjoys an outstanding location just in front of the Royal Palace, the variety of coffees, teas and liquors are superb, we tried the bombon and the coffee with condensed Milk, Liquor 43 and cream on top, highly recommended for a nice time enjoying the views of the garden and the royal palace.

This where you get breakfast when you stay at the Central Palace. It is very elegant and beautifully decorated. You will not be disappointed and apart from guests of the hotel in the morning it has a lot of locals popping in, all very reassuring, enjoy!

I just finished visiting the Royal Palace, walked through the garden area in front, saw a row of connected restaurants, and found the one with my reservation. Unlisted as a kosher restaurant, it opened only a month before . . . a gem of a surprise! There was a small, 3-room area downstairs with limited tables, although I had a... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
