I had dinner here last weekend with a colleague during a business trip. It was my first time in Madrid and I wanted an authentic tapas experience. We went to the right place. It was filled with locals which was a good sign. I requested...More

Absolutely beautifully decorated restaurant that's wonderful to relax and even people watch in. Menu del dia had noticeably small portions (which is a good thing if you wish to lose weight) and definitely wasn't bad, but neither anything to write home about. Prices seem to...More

Four of us had the paella. It was full of little crunchy bones. Everything was overpriced. There are so many great places in this neighborhood, don't waste your money here. Go to La Daniela or La Dolores instead.

Went in as the weather turned too cool to be walking outside. Ordered 2 red wines and they are good, served with hot meatballs!

Great restaurant for tapas. I had the goat cheese salad which was phenomenal, my boyfriend got the venison burger that was even better! I enjoyed laid back atmosphere.

This is a perfectly ok restaurant for perfectly ok food, friendly service, little atmosphere ... there is just not much to praise or object to. It's really a totally forgettable experience.

The menu al dia (11 euros), had lots of delicious GF choices. The waiters were knowledgeable and fed us roasted potatoes instead of fried to avoid cross contamination. We had an amazing lentil soup and pork chops. We also went here twice for dinner and...More

We had a couple of vermut (vermouth) and plates to share of octopus with salt/paprika/olive oil and fried calamari. Service was good and food was nice. Did charge for bread, which seemed strange.

We came in here after running an errand nearby. Great choice. The neighbourhood is pretty quiet, as it is 6pm, but this place was inviting from the exterior and lively inside. We ordered a vino tinto (del Ribera) each. Received a lovely pair of montaditos...More

Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once
home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de
Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The
neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich
heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes
from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to
them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas
receives a fair amount of spillover from the center —
