We found this place a couple years ago and it immediately became a place that we visit when we are in Madrid. It opens at 9 p.m. The decor with the menus on wooden discs (traditional also available) and the wooden stools make you feel...More

After a cold day in Madrid a meal at the Taberna Maceira was an excellent restorative. The food is hearty and simple served in generous portions and accompanied with some beautiful crusty bread. No wine list to speak of but the wine by the glass...More

Lots of character to this spot in a road full of tapas bars. The bagpipes confused us for a while, but once we got to grips with the wine served in earthenware pots and the rustic ambience, the food arrived. We ordered dishes to share...More

This is very "typical" food of Galacia, the northwest of Spain. It is VERY informal and you must be willing to make the best with a Spanish menu. Carne (beef) was by far the best dish - fried so that it is crisp on the...More

Their English was a bit spotty, but the food was very good. We ordered tapas and were happy with the variety and flavor, especially the soup, the croquettes, and the hake. Toward the end of the evening, the proprietress brought all the tables a flaming...More

My old, good memories of this place are only that: memories. Tonight the food was barely acceptable, and the service could have been much better. As they say, you should not try to revisit the places were you were once happy.

My wife and I visited the restaurant for lunch and had salted peppers and a plate of cheese with bread and a bowl of dry white wine. Yes a bowl which adds to the ambiance.

This is a Galician bar with small dishes from the NW of Spain. The atmosphere is quaint, with bag pipe infused music playing, and the staff friendly. They did not speak much English, but they had a English menu. The food was good but not...More

Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once
home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de
Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The
neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich
heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes
from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to
them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas
receives a fair amount of spillover from the center —

Mi pregunta es, desde cuando sois tan tacaños con las raciones? Quien hizo los chipirones rellenos tiesos que Cené ayer? Quien cobra a esos precios por baja calidad y por cantidades ínfimas?

In generale no, il fine settimana però immagino possa essere necessaria. Altrimenti l'alternativa è arrivare presto. Buona cucina gallega. Luigi
