The first Asador de Aranda opened it's doors on August 1983 in Plaza de Castilla. Since then, the majestic wood oven lights day after day, to delight the palates of those who, to him, approach in search of the most famous roast lamb capital. We ordered minced meat, blood sausage and a quarter of lamb for four people. Everything was great, the lamb was spectacular. The desserts are also great. The waiters very attentive and friendly. We liked a lot. The only downside, I find the bread basket at €9 a bit expensive.

Quite a classic place, with good background music at the perfect volume. If you come early enough, the cochinillo is there even without having ordered it. Early means that I entered at 9.15pm and there was only one other table occupied (by foreigners like me). Black pudding tapas and then, precisely, the cochinillo asado, the roast quarter of pork, very tender and with a crust that... only that would be eaten. Generous portions, if you are not a glutton, divide the pig. Good service, friendly and proactive, good Ribera del Duero red wine. To repeat.

I went for a business lunch, initially there were 8 of us and finally 4 of us went for other reasons, and they didn't have any problems, impeccable service. Food with very good quality, especially the suckling pig. And the wine was a good bottle of Matasnos forest. Without a doubt we will repeat.
Without a doubt I value the service they have, it is a 10.

Yesterday, April 7, my husband and I went to celebrate our birthday.
From the minute I called to book, they were very unpleasant.
When it came time to serve us, I had to persist several times for them to bring us what we ordered, both in drinks and food. Finally my husband gave up on the coffee, and decided to drink it at the bar next door, nothing to do with the service and speed of service.
I asked them if they had water larger than a small bottle and they said no and at the next table they brought a jug of water.
I ordered some artichokes that I attached in the image for 16 euros, in a jar at a grill that is supposed to have high quality.
The suckling pig that my husband ordered, of which I did not take a photo, was more leg than meat.
It's a shame that in a place where you make an effort to go, because it's not cheap at all, they treat you in a bad manner and with the quality of a boat, which costs you 3 euros in a supermarket.

The quality/price ratio is non-existent. 50 euros for some vulgar chorizos, a dry rice blood sausage, a reheated lamb and a millefeuille of bad cream. The house wine, without comments. Appalling. We feel totally docked. Afterwards they give you some inedible hard rolls and a pomace cream that they take away so it doesn't get hot... From what it was to what it is... The only saving grace is the service, friendly and diligent.

Very mediocre roast and they invite you to free the table after paying €70 per diner. Diligent service but yet another restaurant that prioritizes billing over the dining experience. Not recommended for a quiet meal.

Yesterday, November 9, we went to have a beer and an egg white at the bar and there was no beer on tap, a bottle was mandatory, and for the egg white I used a little beer from my partner's bottle, he opened a small soda of which I poured a quarter which he then saved. When paying, he charged €3 for a glass of soda and €2.80 for the bottle. I mentioned it to the waiter and he shrugged his shoulders. I have felt cheated by soda and this makes me never set foot in that house with so many branches and so much fame again.

We ordered lamb for 3 and it was dry not being able to swallow. If you don’t order a menu, you don’t get the salad or potatoes or anything, just the meat, thanks that the sauce didn’t charge for it, everything else, yes. We're not coming back. Prices do not correspond to quality.

Wow the food was amazing! Suckling pig and lamb with fries and Padron peppers! Simplicity with great taste! Our waitress was amazing! Will be here for another 7 days so will go again. Do not hesitate to try it. The queue for takeout for christmas eve by locals say it all😁

I was lucky to be staying very near to this restaurant - amazing setting, great staff and very good food. I had their lamb menu. The lamb itself was tasty, but nothing exceptional. The true heroes of the menu were the small tapas starters - what a delight! Overall, great experience.
