Good small bar and taperia. The food is unique with some dishes good and some very good. Overall very solid but not mind blowing. Great place. I'd come back. Good music too! Bartenders are very nice.

My husband and I accidentally stumbled upon this place on our last night in Spain. Customer service in Spain is lacking in general however, this place was better than most. The food - tapas - were great and we ordered one dish - Bomba - twice. Drinks were well priced and the atmosphere was groovy - clear to see that... More

Great small place on a side street. La Musa doesn't look like much from the outside. Inside, the high-top tables that ring the perimeter all have 'Reserved' on them as clearly this place is known to be tasty. And that was the case. Over about 75 minutes we sampled many of the Tapas on the menu. Highlights: Carrileras Con Setas... More

We had a very nice dinner with a group of friends. We tried various tapas and everything was very good. The atmosphere is good as well, they play good music and the waiters are very friendly. It was very crowded but we waited only 5 minutes at the bar for a table.

Friendly staff and good value drinks and food - worth a stop on a stroll round the Malasana. The music was good and the menu very interesting.

All I can say is fantastic find, right across the road from our Rented apartment. Really modern Spanish Tapas, delicious twists on classics. Order the bomba and the croquetta 2.0 - delish! Food and drinks are very well priced, and very funky surroundings. We stayed in Madrid for 4 nights, and ended up going there every day to see friendly... More

2 couples visiting Madrid for the first time. Both got the 30€ degustation and it was fantastic. Food was flavoursome and fresh, service was prompt and friendly, and the drinks were nice. Highly recommend. Get in earlier to ensure a table.

The restaurant was very nice and cozy and felt modern. The food was just excellent! One of the best dinners we have had. All four of us. The tempura langostinos, the Bomba, Carpaccio rolls, Carrilleras con setas and the ceviche (the list can go on) was just sooo very good. If we had had more time in Madrid we would... More

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
