You sit at a long bar-height table with other patrons and are brought dish after dish of beautifully fresh seafood. It is a special place. Happy memories brought us back after 5 years.

Nice dinner, a selection of tapas and hot dishes all together in sequence, plus very good fried octopus and all together with a great albariño wine - really nice

I had the opportunity to dine at this eclectic restaurant in Santiago during a retreat organized by my company. I experienced a full 5 course degustation menu in pure Galizian style. The kitchen is open and you can see the chefs at work. A mention to the maitre who entertained us communicating passion and love for all the creations!

Something of different in the large tourist restaurant selection of this beautiful town. Menu birth with extravagance but with professional fresh ingredients mix of Galician and fusion dishes.Very good list for wines and satisfactory beers. Moderate price considering high cousine level.

Beside the beautiful ancient market. Modern tapas bar. Lovely food. Short menu. Great for lunch. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very crowded. Beautiful Ceviche; zambarinos (small scallops) were delicious and the grilled octopus was the best---- nice and crunchy..

I sat outside and enjoyed some tapas off the menu last night after finishing my Camino trip. I had clams, ceviche, 2 glasses of wine, water, a dessert plus he small appetizers they give you with your drink for 23 Euro. I was very happy. The ceviche was perfectly prepared and seasoned and was better than any that I had... More

At the end of the camino ,this was a different sort of pilgrimage- as i loved Rick Stein( not Steve) 's Spain video and he visits Abastos which takes its produce from el mercado. I had three great glasses of local white wine inc albariño , ribeiroans and had a succession of some of the best shellfish ever - mussels,... More

The menu is always changing, especially between seasons. I have been there on various occasions and everytime is a surprise. Abastos makes eating an "experience", something to do, rather than just a restaurant. Highly recommended if you are visiting Santiago. The waiters are very knowledgeable about the amazing food that the chefs make. They explain things in very clear terms... More
