By the wide swing of opinion expressed about this establishment, one might wonder what the real situation is. Might it depend on the chef's mood on the day?! A friend and I had just visited the cathedral and came across Calderers by accident. The menu of the day at 11 Euros seemed very reasonable and thus it proved to be.... More

.......we ate off the set menu which was 18€ each for a three course, delicious, meal including a bottle of wine and water. Can't rate it highly enough. I had the veal cheek and it was amazing! Thank you

I wrote a sparkling review for Calderers two years ago and I suppose there's no way to delete it, so I hope this update helps others to stay away. We had the most awful lunch there two weeks ago. Everything was tasteless and my partner's tuna went completely uneaten. My chicken had barely any meat on it (truly, I tried... More

I'm sorry but food was terrible, service also and the room smells of toilette, Bad experience, avoid it. I will not repeat for sure.

For some reason they didn't open at 1pm....in fact staff were arriving and a guy was just starting to mop the floor !!! I returned half an hour later to find the place empty. By 2pm there were about a dozen local people so I didn't feel so alone. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. I was given a menu... More

Excellent food & portions for a set menu of €11 per person. Had penne with blue cheese sauce, steak with oven baked potatoes and 2-scoop icecream. 2 bottles of water as we had no wine. Friendly waitering services. Clean and great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I was wandering around the historic quarter of Girona and this place (price and multilingual menu) appealed. For 18€ all in inc. 3 courses open bottle of wine and water it seemed very good value. I had a warm goat cheese salad which included strawberries and seeds and raisins as starter. Main plate was butifarra (local sausage) with baked potato... More

we had the menu del dia option for 12 euros. Broad beans and ham, pork cheek and potato, with creme catalan. Staff were pleasant and friendly, the restaurant well maintained and the food was great. Included here was a bottle of wine. No complaints. Wanted to come again, but so many choices, so little time. But definitely worth at least... More

The food at Calderers is very good, but the attitude of the waitress was aloof and rude. Price of the menu OK but expensive a la carte.
