For a change of pace in Barcelona, this Chinese restaurant provides a range of well prepared Chinese dishes at very reasonable prices. Recommend the steamed fish and shrimp wonton soup.

Finally Cantonese food! Rare in this town. The decor is nothing to write home about for sure, but the hanging roast duck, siew-yok and char-siew behind the glass counter is a good familiar sign. You will need to be selective and wade through the dishes that are obviously to pander to the local taste to find the ones that are... More

Was taken to this restaurant by our Tour Guide (Spanish Guide) and was not really impressed with the food. I have got the feeling that the guides gets incentives for taken tourist to eat here as a friend told me that they saw the guide talking to the manager quietly in a corner. After paying and exiting the premises, saw... More

The restaurant offers typical Chinese food at an affordable price. Every dish I ordered taste very delicious and they all come in great portion. I like the cleanliness of the restaurant as well as the good service of every staff.

OK, the place does not look fancy and I am sure that the decoration and furniture was in fashion in the seventies. But, it is absolutely worth to try your luck and order a peking duck menu. Fabulous!

I ate at the Rio Azul with 2 business colleagues. The food was very good and was a reasonable price. We all had something different and everyone enjoyed their meals. I can recommend the dumpling starter and the Singapore noodles especially. If you are in Barcelona and fancy an alternative to the tapas and European menus then give it a... More

Happened apon this hotel by chance as we wandered home after a days sight seeing. Located in the quieter Balmes area this restaurant had an "old chinese" feel about and was empty which made up apprehensive but we decided to remain seated and give it a go. So glad we did ! the waiter was really helpful with choosing what... More

This Chinese restaurant is situated on Calle Balmes, and the food is superb, so we went back for a second time! Everything is freshly cooked to perfection and prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.

This is easily one the worst "chinese" restaurants I have ever been to, and I have seen quite a few all over Europe. The salad not fresh, uncooked potatoes (raw in the middle!) very doubtful meat, very poor flavors overall and a sloppy service. To be avoided.

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
