What a gem, we absolutely loved our meal and experience. Used trip advisor and google maps to locate as they don't have any signage, and very unassuming looking from outside. We caught the bus and then an easy stroll to restaurant. Have to wait for...More

This little restaurant with a bar section has no dinner but worth a walk to Barcelonetta for a lunch, followed by a beach walk. There is no name at the door and no menu outside but it was easy recognizable as there was a waiting...More

Super disappointed in the bombas. Absolutely no meat at all in them. Just potato filling. If you like meatless bombas, this would be a good choice. Great flavor, nice spice but no meat! I only had the bombas and a drink, so i cannot comment...More

Cooks in the kitchen have changed...food was too oily, every plate. Had been coming for years...sadly turning my back on it now.

Hate to even review this place, as I don´t want tourists to start turning this place into an ubiquitous ´tourst trap´, but it is my favorite low-key seafood spot in Barceloneta. Very cool spot - the cook is an abuelita - and the menu is...More

Tiny place with no name sign, we had to ask where it was! Got very busy very quickly, it has a good reputation. We had great, tasty food, but not so good service...we didn't get all we ordered. Not sure if I'd return, might have...More

Went on a Monday. No fresh fish as the fisherman do not work on Sunday. They pride themselves in fresh caught. Started with bombas then had mussels, squid, octopus, beef cheeks with tomato bread and garlic-mayo bread. A bottle of Estrella beer hit the spot. Nothing comfortable...More

the bomba is a delicious combination of potatoes, meat and sauce prepared in many bars in the Barceloneta's neighborhood. More than 60 years ago the family that owns this bar created this ‘tapa’, which a costumer named ‘bomba’ for its spiciness. It is a place...More

we came here twice, amazing local food, packed with locals, simple and so good, amazing quality and best staff. hole in the wall and again, no luxury but of you want to try somewhere, were the locals hang, go here

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in

No reservations for this place... As soon as you arrive you give your name to the waiter... If you go in the weenkend, go early because they close really early. It normally takes arround 20min to get seated. ENJOY!

If you are a small number of people (1 or 2), you won't need a reservation but you might need to stand at a the bar which is quite fun :)
