Saw some of the reviews about this place here on TA and was a bit skeptical, was nearby and decided to go by. Place was not full at all, (and the people who were there by most were locals, not tourist like some reviews say) and were 2 people ahead of us. They have that fish market feel with an... More

We read reviews, and came early. Even so there were 10 people ready to go. Essentially it's a fish shop/market. You point at what you want and generally have a couple of choices how it's cooked. Then it's on like donkey kong. Food is cooked and served via counter and p.a. as it comes. Order a selection and you'll be... More

Me and my husband went to this restaurant, with a couple of friends that live in Barcelona...The only thing that they told me, was to be there early, because if your not, it will be hard to get a sit... For my surprise, this restaurant looked like a fish market! you chose the fish fresh, the amount you want and... More

We had a fabulous experience at La Paradeta, so lump me in with everyone else highly recommending it. I docked it one star just on personal preferences: the emphasis really is on shellfish -- lobster, crabs, shrimp of varying sizes, oysters, mussels, calamari, octopus, and some other things I frankly didn't recognize. I prefer fish, however, and therefore I had... More

If you are in Barcelona and like seafood, this is the place to go! After reading many positive reviews we decided to visit the restaurant close to La Sagrada Familia (I think there are 4 restaurants in Barcelona). We came pretty early (for Barcelona dinner standards) around 20:30. At 21:00 people were waiting to get a table.  Right after entering... More

This place is excellent! I cant talk highly enough about it, if you are going for a fancy night out do not go here this place is for a relaxed night out in Barcelona with friends in a very informal atmosphere, despite the queuing and the self service style this place is by far one of the best sea food... I came on Tripadvisor looking for some suggestions for a good seafood resrtaurant and I found this place. When I got to Barcelona I was determined to find it. We had crayfish, lobsters, mussels & shrimp. The lobster, crayfish and calamari was the best. In that order:) The prices were reasonable enough that we ate there both nights while in... More

We went to the La Paradeta in Born for a great meal of crab, shrimp and whitefish. If you arrive in the first hour they open for dinner, your wait will not be too long. Don't be shy. Jump in, point at what looks yummy and eat up! The staff will guide you along, including where to take your plates... More

While being in Barcelona, you should defiitely go there Fresh and cheap seafood, deliciously cooked in some minutes while you're waiting at the table drinking beer or something:) Very friendly atmosphere, noisy place but it's not embarrasing. A definitely great experience!

It's good. The seafood is definitely good, but it's nothing special in Barcelona. Despite this, every tourist to the city seeks it out and for some reason decides to go there at the same time. You'll wait in line a long time in off season and forever in high season. Best to be avoided, especially on Tuesdays when the wait... More
