This is a unique place in Barcelona, those ones that should remind in secret. Small and personal, feeling that the owner is enjoying sharing with you his finds. The best tomato, and an incredible Toro salmon, we hadn,t tasted before. Is rare because of the short menu, but focus on product

We went with a group of friends from Barcelona to Piratas. What a hidden gem. From the moment you step in you can already feel the restaurant is different in a good way. It has very few tables so it is not easy to get a table without a reservation. The boss came to explain all the different foods of... More

Visited this place twice - had a nice dinner and lunch. If you want to have breakfast or lunch you should ask host (I guess he is also an owner) beforehand. The menu is not big but the quality of products is perfect and all the dishes we had were really tasty.

A very cosy place, with only 5 or 6 tables (I guess that reservation might be needed in different hours/occasions). A peculiar menu (explained and presented by the restaurant's chef who is a very nice person) using catalan/spanish products or imported ones from places where they are the best (like canned tuna fish from Azores, Portugal). The "pastel russo" as... More

I have been at Piratas over the last 6 years and have never been disappointed. Great quality of product, great wines and personally I love the service and attention. It is one of my favorites in Barcelona.

Nice cozy informal restaurant with a personal touch and a good attention. Simple cooking with great products makes it a pleasure to come here. Good wine choice with non traditional bottles.

A familiar casual restaurant offering a superb quality of products and excellent plates. A good wine list and professional but kind service in a small cool place

It is not cheap and it is very simple. But from a taste point of view it is just excellent. Do not go there for your eyes but for the pleasure to taste something near perfect in terms of taste. Duck + wine + crème brûlée.

Small restaurant at downtown where eating amazing plates and drinking good natural wines. The best foie poele in the city, excellent selection of Catalan&French cheeses, rice with sardines, homemade romesco sauce with potatoes, sweet ensaimada with liquor and kindly personalized service. Open from Monday to Friday all day from 12 to midnight

Make sure to have dinner there after a play at the National or a concert at the Auditori, but make a reservation first!

A small restaurant near the Monumental bullring in the heart of Fuerte Pio's neighborhood. We only have six tables and a very small kitchen. We look for the best quality in our products (foie from Sarlat, french creamy cheeses, diferent kind of natural tomatoes, best smoked fishes...). We have wines from diferent places in Spain and France, all conditionated in our "in cave". The service is familiar and very close to the diner.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
