I had taken friends many times to the tapas places on Career Blai. This time, a friend took me around the corner, off Blai, to Carrer Rosa 34 where we found Rosa 34. First, maybe because people didn't know it was there, we had no trouble finding seats at 9 PM on a Friday. Second, the selection of tapas was... More

We asked our hotel to recommend somewhere local for Tapas and were not disappointed , huge choice to sample , with local Red wine to accompany in a cosy friendly environment . We will be back .

This place came highly recommended and didn't disappoint. We went for a late lunch and enjoyed the buffet style tapas with amazing Sangria, definitely try the squid croquettes if you can. Would definitely recommend!

... twice in one evening. This is just off Calle Blai, which is now the epicentre for pintxos in Barcelona from what I gather. For this reason, Rosal 34 probably has to work a bit harder to get people in, which is good for us as the food is that much better. We popped in for a quick round of... More

The bar offers a combination of Bar Tapas / Pintos as well as menu item including full meals. We ordered a few menu items as well as selected some of the items from the bar. Menu items range in price from around 5-10 euros and the dishes are freshly made and of a reasonable size. Whilst not outstanding, the food... More

We visited as a family of food for some top up food. It was nice. The pintxo is good and fresh. All are priced at either €1 or €1.60 with differing skewers to calculate the bill. Very family friendly with lots of young kids eating with families. Relaxed and worth a visit.

Judging by the reviews, I thought I would be blown away. The only thing that blew me away was that I paid a fine price for small portions of food that was just mediocre at best. Yes, they're tapas, which I know are not huge servings, but we have had much better (and more) for less. I wouldn't recommend it.

I was not too impressed with this tapas bar. the Tapa were OK. But nothing special. Service was also ok, however I received my glass of wine in a simple vermut glass not in a wine glass (like others did).

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
