A nice twist on traditional tapas. Love the story of the chef traveling from Italy to Spain...traveling on a Vespa 2254 kilometers... and combining all the different cuisines in his cooking when he opened this restaurant. Try his version of Mochis Brava - a real...treat.More

Awesome spot. The tapas were delicious and creative and reflect the chef’s background with a mix of Catalan and Sicilian. The smoked sardines and the mochi truffles were memorable. Service was good although they seemed a little understaffed. There is another tapas place next door...called Vinitus. Nowhere near as good and yet there is always a line there, mostly tourists. We thought that was ironic. Leave room for desserts, they were fantastic as well.More

We ate here our first night in Barcelona and it was so good we came back on our last night! This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and it was 5 stars! The food is Spanish tapas with an Italian flare as the original owners...travelled from Italy. We had a mixture of meat, vegetarian and seafood tapas and all were excellent. The staff are very helpful and friendly and there is a great atmosphere!More

Wow! The food in this restaurant is PHENOMENAL! I have grown up in Spain, and been to absolutely hundreds of tapas restaurants, but this is by far the best. So unique!! The chef (Nuncio Cona according to the little welcome card we received) is obviously...a very talented individual. The dishes were certainly surprising, in a really, really good way! I can’t believe after so many years of going to nice restaurants all over the world that I’ve found somewhere that has left such a mark on me. I’m sad to be leaving Barcelona tomorrow because I want to go back!! Highly, highly recommend their version of Patatas Bravas, the goats cheese in honey, and the red prawn croquettes. Thank you for a wonderful evening! The food and wine was so reasonably priced too.More

avoid absolutly. Nothing authentic. The chef may have travelled to Palermo, but he is unable to cook pasta correctly. Service was- to say the least- non existant ; half an jour just to get the menu, the secondos served befote the primos. Plates thrown across...the table. Red RIOJA wine served iced and so forth. The alliance of incompetence and pretension.More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel. It is very well located in near Paseo de Gracia, it is a small restaurant but full of stories and enchantment. We asked what the 2254 stand for and the answer bewildered us, ASK!! We loved...the details like the table mats, each one has a different picture that comes with a beautiful inspirational quote. They sell the book with the story of how the restaurant started by the Chef and with delicious recipes. The owner of the restaurant is the chef as well, so that makes it even better. Apart from all that, the food was absolutely delicious, presented in a beautiful and different manner. The service was very good and the price is perfect for the quality of the food and the whole experience. Would go back every time we visit. Would have loved to meet the chef, but since it was sunday, he was out.More
