2 couples with a handful of entrees and some starters. Minimal drinks. Pushed by the waiter to try the truffle specialty. Big mistake 4 people €290!!! Easily the most outrageous bill I've gotten at a Chinese (and perhaps at any) restaurant. You can walk into a San Francisco diner and eat better Chinese.

I think this is the best Chinese restaurant in Barcelona. It does not only care about good food, but good service, impressive wine list, wonderful selection of glasses, and a true and genuine integration of chinese cultture in Barcelona. A must for all those that love China and highly praise a good example of good Chinese food together with wonderful... More

For me, it's the best Chinese restaurant in town. The duck is just incredible! High quality food and really tasty. Don't look at the menu, let yourself be driven by them. Also very friendly.

Excellent experience eating and drinking, huge wine list! Great service. Incredible assortment of dim sung, and traditional chinesse local food, so impressive and perfect elaboration. Really local taste, local texture, congrats.!!

Probably the best chinese restaurant in the city which has been running for decades. The kitchen is good, elaborate and somehow westernized to fit the local taste. Good service and nice red-lamp-free atmosphere. The place is not cheap if compared to other chinese ... but Shanghai cannot be compared with the tipical chinese restaurant.

The restaurant décor could do with some updating and the place wasn't very busy when we went early on a week night but the food is absolutely outstanding!! -crunchy salt and pepper lobster, meltingly delicious crispy duck and a hot and sour soup I could eat every day - do not miss this place!

A good experience from beginning to end. Reservation made by internet, and the restaurant confirmed by telephone. Situated in a residential area, away from the crowded tourist centre (although parking not easy). Friently welcome; small but comfortable and not noisy. Quick attention; take the maitre d's proposed menu, or choose from a good selection. The food proposed was good, sufficient... More

We went to there for my birthday. As a Chinese person I really feel a shame and wondering why this place can be so farmhouse and high ranking. The taste of food is fine, but really nothing special.maybe because the majority of Chinese resturante in barcelona are very poor, so they just have to offer normal Chinese food at extreme price,... I have tryed chineese food arlund the world and this restaurant is a surprise. A first generation chineese/catalans that cook like the angels and make you feel always at home. Try their noodles with truffle, their Beiging duck, curry chicken.... All is better than ever.

Be sure to ask to go to the Shanghai on calle Bisbe Sevilla, number 48. Some of our friends were sent, apparently, to the wrong one, with the same name !!. This is a resturant that will provide you with the most pleasant experience and, like us, you will visit it each time you are in Barcelona. This was our... More
