We walked past quite early in the evening at about 7.30 and it was fairly quite, looked neat and tidy on the outside and the inside. So glad we decided to eat there as the food was delicious with a good choice of meat, fish and Spanish dishes. Wine was very reasonable at about 14-25 euro a bottle. Staff were... More

It was not the best food I ever ate, but in this price and location it was best what we could find. We ordered paella and swordfish. Swordfish was overcooked with rubber consistence, but paella was nice.

Tasty food, but not that good service. It looks expensive, but it's not. Good value for money. Great location which makes the place very busy at night

Don't be fooled by the queues outside of La Fonda before opening time. It certainly does not live up to the hype. The food was average - the paella which it is apparently renowned for is certainly not worth it. The service was terrible. Plenty of staff, all look to be quite 'busy', yet no one is actually doing anything.... More

This restaurant was one of my worst experiences in years. Slow service, very poor quality of the food (it feels like you are in a cheap chinese restaurant transformed into something else). Stay away from this place!

Big food portions! In the heart of Barrio Gotic. Not expensive at all! Good paella and black rice with squid ink. Gluten free bread was very good!

I visited this restaurant, at the recommendation of the bar staff from Hilton Barcelona. It was a short walk from the hop on off bus stop at Port Olympic. The staff were friendly and welcoming and finding a quiet table for one was not a problem. The seafood paella was served with finesse found in expensive restaurants. The paella was... More

Great, not expensive. Very good alternative to plenty touristic foodcourt located in the old part of Barcelona. Very high quality for that price. They specialize in paellia (different types). you need to wait at least few minutes for table :( but it's worth waiting :)

Lovely place, but the food is not the best. The publicity is bigger then reality. Cozy place and good service, but the paella does not have salt neither taste.

Even now that we are living in Barcelona, we like to come back here to have a good night of food and sagria. Amazing paella at a very good price. The staff is alway super kind. For numerous groups it's better to book.
