We are now "pros" on going to tapas bars. My wife and I are in a far better position to evaluate the experience than we were when we went here the last year. We have been to a number of ones all over southern Spain...More

This place is great for tapas and drinks with friends. The place is always crowded, food is not expensive and the enviroment is really great.

This is an amazing tapas spot. Go early or expect a crowd. Seating is limited to a handful of tables but you can also stand at the counter. The dishes aren’t fancy but they are flavorful and reflect the best of local cuisine. Try the...More

Stumbled upon this place last year and had to come back. Great tapas, friendly bartenders, good beer. Just belly up to the bar and if you're adventurous, let the bartender select for you. There's a reason this place is packed.

In its category, this restaurant fantastic. You will probably not notice it in the gothic quarter as it is blending in with the surroundings. The place was buzzing and we were lucky that we arrived just at the right time to avoid any waiting. They’re...More

This is another institution in Barcelona. We walked in and there was no space. The staff was friendly. The owner was even funnier and friendlier. The house Cava is a must try. We ordered plenty of food. Each dish topped a previous with favor and...More

We're not the only people who were told to visit this tiny hole-in-the-wall place by the Picasso museum. It was packed with locals and tourists alike. We were lucky enough to get a small 2top table after a short wait. The food was excellent and...More

We passed by this little bar and restaurant yesterday evening and we gave it a try for dinner. When you enter this bar, you feel set back in time. The furniture looks like 100 years ago and the atmosphere is great. It is a very...More

El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants

It's really small place and really hard to find a place to sit. Most of the people are standing. However I saw couples or friend groups there. If you go early you might find a place.

I don't think that they take reservations. It's more of a first come first served situation. I would strongly recommend to go earlier before they open especially if it's a larger group of people.
