The best food we have had during this 10 day holiday in Barcelona. We came here twice during our stay. All of the dishes we ordered had a unique touch and we're different from everything else we have had

The food was very good! Very well prepared and with use of original flavor combinations. The meat could not have been better!👍👍

We had dinner at El Salon and sat outside in the plaza. The food and drink was very reasonably priced but sadly our meal wasn't very tasty. I would head back for the lovely ambience and very friendly staff but not one to remember in...terms of food! Would go back for a drink and a snack!More

What a great experience eating dinner at El Salon. It has a casual, inviting environment. My husband and son ordered the starter of shrimp with pasta, which could have been a main dish; delicious! I had a nice salad. After that, they ordered the sea...bass and I had the cod dish; two tasty choices. A customer seated next to us said the duck confit was the best he ever ate. It was by far one of the best meals we had on our trip. If we are in Barcelona again, it would be one of our stops. Don’t pass up the chance to eat at this wonderful restaurant.More

Fabulous restaurant,, would never have gone there but for a friends recommendation as a little off the beaten track. Ate inside as loved the ambience. Great food and service. Booking advised though some lucky walk ins got a table. Good portions and good menu choice

We had done big seafood and steak, and were looking for something a little more restrained in a nice surrounding, and El Salon delivered exactly to plan. It is a very cosy, informal location, with a rustic chic, in behind a glorious old stone frontage....There are some lovely bits of art on the walls. We were extremely well looked after by the staff, who managed the balance of being there just when you wanted, without any sense of being fussed over. And it was a really nice simple meal, with a super salad to start which we shared, and then a delightful mushroom risotto, and my wife had seared tuna. Nice bottle of white rioja to go with. Good food, superb friendly service, accomplished cooking and all at a reasonable price. A great change from tapas. Small menu but all the better for that. Very reasonably priced wines. if it hadn't been our last night we would have visited again!

I was looking for a small restaurant with Catalan food to dine with a customer after a long day at a conference. While there are many options, it can be hard to narrow one’s options even using Trip Advisor. El Salon was a complete win....Great food. Mostly quiet dining room. In our group we enjoyed sea bass, the stuffed chicken breast , the salmon and squid. All said the would get it again. My lamb was the best meal of the week. Two people commented on how fresh the mixed salad was. They even made a great old-fashioned, Staff spoke enough English to help us thru questions and the need to split the check for business reasons. I highly recommend the place if your looking for hearty food in a quaint setting.More

AMAZING food! Also beautifully presented. Very nice accommodating staff. Not the fastest service, but worth the wait! The interior is very cute, romantic and cozy. I could tell it was full of tourists and not locals, but I highly recommend this place.

It’s set in a beautiful location and the staff were very good. Bad points were that we constantly kept hearing a microwave being used to cook, which is ironic as both of our mains (duck and lamb) came out with cold potatoes and sauce. Deserts...were average. Chairs very very uncomfortable. Has brilliant potential but we wouldn’t revisit again unfortunately.More
