Our meal at El Glop de la Rambla was excellent. The food was authentic and delicious. The prices were absolutely reasonable. The service was very friendly and attentive, ask for Jason; wonderful manager with a good grasp of English. The ambiance is warm and relaxed.

Went there to prove the Fideuá but came back to try the Paella. Both amazing, friendly staff, fare price. A must go!

I got strong recomendation from Korean folks and fell like I am in Korean restaurant when I was there. 90% of customers were Korean and I found that the taste really fit to us including my mother. Had a good time with enjoyable food & atmostphere.

Suggested by one of the suppliers of food equipment of this restaurant chain. Placed north Rambla Catalunya close to Casa Batllo. Typical touristic restaurant cooking standard Spanish dishes. Good Paella de Pollo con verduritas. Bad french fries: soft (not crunchy) and dipped/soaked with oil.

There is a group of El Glop restaurants and we chose the nearest just up but far away enough from the more expensive La Rambla street were waiters are beginning to get the Parisian flare for rudeness. If mixing with Catalan people while enjoying reasonably priced food is your goal then look no further as many old school patrons stop... More

I like this restaurant, because at very reasonable good price the, extra "bread and tomato", and an excellent quality of the food. The service is very good. I like to go there for lunch. I have seen a lot of visitors having lunch there.

El Glop will not win culinary kudos but it's a nice place to enjoy lunch and a break from a hectic day of shopping or in between seeing the sights of Barcelona. The service is a little slow but attentive and the food is basic but reasonably priced. I enjoyed my Catalonian sausage and fresh salad with a cold glass... More

El Glop was our worst meal during our 10 night stay in Spain and Portugal. There was nothing redeeming about this place and I strongly urge you not to eat here. We had tried to eat somewhere else, but the wait was too long and we wanted to eat outside. To start the night, we gave our name to one... More

On our first evening in Barcelona we walked from our accommodation to find a restaurant, without wishing to reach the main Ramblas area, where we knew the standards are not the best. We settled on an outside table at El Glop, at the top of Rambla a Catalunya. Sadly, it was disappointing. My wife ordered her entrecote "well done", which... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
