Four of us went through 1,5 times the grilled platter, with some starters. Great tastes and variety, fun sharing event. Service very good and prompt. These guys know what they are doing!

From the outside this looks an unremarkable place. The frontage is quite small and could be missed but inside is a different matter completely! This restaurant is deceptively huge and once inside you become aware that the restaurant is over several floors. It looks great....More

May be the best restaurant in Barcelona. Many celebrities have dined here and I can see why. There are so many seafood options! I also like the fact that restaurant is somewhat casual and shorts or other comfortable vacation attire is allowed. Recommendation: order a...More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel receptionist but she did warn us that it was quite expensive - that turned out to be an understatement. We had already tried out several restaurants in Barcelona during our week-long stay but this was by...More

We went to the Botafumeiro based on the recommendation of the Concierge in our hotel and the restaurant did not disappoint. The food was outstanding, service was friendly and attentive and the choice was great... the restaurant is a bit on the pricey side but...More

Exceptional seafood, amazing service and great choice of wines. Botafumeiro is an institution in Barcelona, classy and expensive but the quality is top notch. For the seafood and fish lovers, it is one of the very rare place to be delighted. I can only recommend...More

One of the best seafood platters I have ever been served in Europe. Great choice of different animals from the sea and very fresh. Good Wine with a price per bottle not being to expensive.

Married couple of Americans visiting Barcelona, wanting seafood that wasn't fried or on top of rice. Concierge sent us here and we were treated extremely well (English no problem). Ordered the seafood platter, which was enough to feed 4 -- but was so good we...More

Our group of 4 had an exceptional meal! The seafood paella was shared by 3 and seasoned and cooked to perfection. Lobster was served with the shell shaped in a circle, as if a crown, and was moist and flaky. Although we didn't order it,...More

Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to
be an independent town until late into the 19th
century. Though it’s just a short commute away from
the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole
different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many
international artists to this area, resulting in a
wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy
boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the

Among the three hundred diners that fill this 30-year-old restaurant every day, you may spot the King of Spain, movie stars, and politicians. Botafumeiro has to be a well-oiled machine to keep all and sundry happy and coming back for more, and it does. The decor is so trad, with wood railings and banisters, white table linens, and nautically-themed art and objets. The menu focusses on the sea, try fruits de mer for two to start, followed by anglerfish fisherman's stew with white beams or one of the barbecued fish, then a dessert of Belgian chocolate volcano with chocolate sherbet. Wine list is an ambassador for Spanish wines.
