The restaurant is famous for it's octopus and I have to say I was not disappointed! I really liked the octopus and the rest of the tapas we tried. The service was nice and easy going. When we were there, there was a group of locals in the restaurant - a good sign. Summed up: No frills, great tapas and... More

I am sorry to say but was not really surprised by the octopus here. At the end of a tour the guide said this is the place where local eats. Went there, ask for it, and was really disappointed.

Went here a few times, has the feel of a diner but serving tapas. Great value on the razor clams (a little sandy) the octopus is good. The stand out is the omelette aka potato pie. They give you a slab the size of a steakhouse desert. If you want to fuel up the next day after a big night... More

We went to the new bar celta in el born having previously been to the old one several times. We found the same excellent octopus - the pulpo a la gallega was excellent and we didn't try the chipirones but they also looked fantastic. They have other standard tapas on offer such as patatas bravas but it's the octopus that... More

We stumbled on it quite accidentally, and we were glad we did. Food was good and we all agreed that it was the best octopus we had ever tasted. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only one thing bothered - the place is quite small, so be ready the have side-by-side feeling with other customers. If it doesn't bother you, as... More

Am a bit annoyed by all the other comments saying this is good local food. This food, which is great by the way, is from the region of Galicia which is all the way on the other side of Spain. Saying this is local food is like saying a haggis bar is local food in London, or that Cajun food... More

It's an unpretentious-looking place where the locals go. We visited the new spot on Carrer de la Princesa. Octopus is a must-try, one of the best ones I've eaten; croquettes are yum and the service very friendly. We went there three times :) Thank you Jaafar!

I was recommended this place by a friend because of their supposedly amazing squid. That was probably the only good part, and I don't think it was even that amazing. Everything was really average, and most things were pre-prepared. For example, the patatas bravas were already fried and sitting cold on the tapas display. He scooped some out, and probably... More

We dropped in here on our way to the Picasso Museum and almost stayed for the afternoon as it was so good. the pan con tomates was brilliant and as for the chipirones and Pulpo - words fail me (fried baby squid and octopus). A very worthwhile stop and the cost was almost nothing. I would have paid twice as... More
