Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I thought I'd open myself a bit with different food culture, and this place made me not regret it! I'm in love with Spanish food now.

Okay, so this is an Adría brothers’ restaurant across the street from the fancier Tickets. It’s more casual, not as expensive, and serves mostly tapas. It’s a slightly bizarre menu (with some great translation fails) and a great time. Go and eat and drink and...enjoy it all.More

We've been here on a trip to Barcelona. The tapas we've had were all very good! We definitely go back next time!

Four of us enjoyed a spectacular meal in this lovely Barcelona restaurant which is a favorite dining spot of famed chef Jose Andres. Trust them. Just ask them to wow you. It will be beyond your wildest dreams. This was the most delightful dining experience...of my 60 years. For four of us with drinks and enough to fully satisfy our hunger the cost was under 100 Euro. The best way to describe the experience is to say it was like I had the chance to appear in the best "food porn" tv show I ever saw. Exquisite.More

Top notch service for a small restaurant. We ordered too much but it was worth it. The mussels, Russian salad, and meatballs were all fantastic. Each dish has its own special twist. The staff were helpful answering questions and dealing with a dietary restriction. Highly...recommend but you need reservations.More

Amazing food and service - worth every penny! True homage to Mediterranean cuisine. Highlights would be the monkfish soup and cheesecake.

I was looking forward to this and wasn’t disappointed. Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere and vibe. There wasn’t a duff dish - the liquid olives are a must, as are the spiced rubia gallega, the calcots and the calamari sandwich. I would go...back in a second.More

Very nice restaurant ,but the food wasn’t worth its name.We were a little bit disappointed. We traveled all way from Lisbon to Barcelona for the restaurant and it felt like being in an ordinary tapas place.

B1900 is an experience that will make the average tapas aficionado feel like you have been teleported into the super galaxy of mouth watering flavors and a 20/20 visual experience of presentation, colors and simplicity. This 5 star rating goes out to our main waiter...Sasha...a traveler from the far north who has mastered the art of language and food presentation as well as the entire B1900 staff. I wont give you the rundown of each delight we shared, I will say that you should follow Sasha’s recommendation and allow the chef to work his magic and allow the roller coaster of flavors and sights to start with a glass of Cava. Each plate is inspired by the local finds at the market and modern techniques that capture flavors beyond the traditions of Barcelona. Our meal consisted of 13 individually balanced plates, each filled with the worldly flavors of Barcelonas history and each filled our 4 forks with a bite or two. When you are starting to ask yourself when is the final plate...you are still a few plates away from having to unbutton the top button. Sasha’s pairing of wines put a experts bow on the artful experience that each plate pairing offered. The one shout out that also got 4 thumbs up from our table was the “Tarta de Queso”...a cheese cake with NO peer in this world. Make a reservation if you want to experience this gold star culinary marathon.More

We were recommended by a friend and were not disappointed. We were looked after by Nau who recommended a seafood taster menu after asking what foods we liked. We would never have ordered some of these dishes which did not disappoint. An incredible dining experience...and a highlight of our visit to Barcelona.More

We had an absolute blast. Made our reservation a month in advance. We visited Tickets the evening before and Bodega 1900 the following. Two very different places and two equally fantastic experiences. We were a little worried that the food might be similar but no...it is definitely different. Only similarity is the quality is outstanding in both. The service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly with a great sense of humour. Our table was in the front room near the front door, the back was completely full on a Thursday evening. Albert Adria popped in and recognised us from the previous evening at Tickets, nice touch. As we were near the door we saw at least 8 couples coming in asking for a table without a reservation. The hostess was not rude she told all of them they are full however can dine outside if they want. Two couples did so. They keep the bar counter free for a very good reason. When the second wave of reservation arrived they get them to have a drink at the counter whilst waiting for people to pay and leave. Makes complete sense where else are they going to get them to wait in such a small space? The food was amazing as expected. The langoustines cooked in josper was out of this world! Delicious and yes we will return when in Barcelona next time. The only gripe is the chairs were very uncomfortable, that is a easy fix.More

Great restaurant. We told the waitress what we like and she brought us an amazing selection. The menu doesn't do the for justice but it was brilliant and their vermouth was great too. Definitely worth going to

We've just come from a meal at Bodega 1900 and it was brilliant. The service was friendly, fast and just nice. So glad we reserved as it took the stress out of our day knowing our table was waiting. Top Tip! Our waiter offered us...a, "surprise menu". It was basically a custom built tasting menu of favourites in response to our own tastes. It was bloody brilliant! It was well considered and discreetly tailored to our tastes. From where I was sat, I could see wait staff listening and responding to patrons and each other. There was genuinely a real happy atmosphere. I kept meaning to take pictures but failed as the food was so good. All I can say is kudos to the chefs and servers. Bodega 1900 is the best of the past, present and future. We cannot wait to return.More

We walked to this restaurant and the hostess refused to seat us because we didn’t have a reservation. However, she had several open tables. We had a child with us in a stroller and requested to sit on an open table, but she said without...a reservation she will not seat us even though she didn’t have people coming. It was past 315 so past the peak of lunch, and she just rudely asked us to leave. Terrible terrible service.More
