This place is just a piece out beloved country in Barcelona. Absolutely everything tastes and feels like in Venezuela. The arepas, cachapas, juices, tequenos! Love this place.

The menu offered 'Arapas'. I had no idea what these are, so I went for the option called Pabellon de Aguacate. Arapas are tortillas from Venezuela. This one had avocado, black beans, fried plantain and cheese, was cooked while I waited, was excellent - and...More

This is a great place to grab a quick bite - they have no seats so it's standing room only or when the weather is good take it out and go relax in the park and enjoy your food. The arepas are all super tasty...More

If you already know arepas and cachapas, you'll love it. If you're not familiar with Venezuelan food you should give it a chance. Customers are mainly Venezuelans, but other nationalities are permitted as well. Decoration is a collection of Venezuelan memorabilia. Two things are not...More

First time trying Venezuelan food and I'm already planning our next visit to this restaurant. Food is great. There is only a small detail: there are no chairs, but other than that everything was great!

Tasty is nice, the problem is that they don't put too much meat or whatever into the bread. Short portions. They raised the prices in the last month without change the rest. Fame's price.

We had Arepas and Cachapas. They are delicious Venezuelan "crepes" with different fillings. Try them with "frijoles" (black beans). They are very tasty. We found them a bit small, so we had to have 2 each.

El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants

Taguara Areperia is the place to go in Barcelona for arepas. These South American corn cakes are cooked in the oven and can either be eaten on their own, as a kind of bread (known here as La Viuda - The Widow), or with a typical filling such as "Pabellon", which features fried black beans, cheese, shredded beef and plantain. And if that's not enough, they have 16 other arepa options. These combinations include Venezuelan cheese, chicken, avocado, vegetables and more. Being made of corn flour, Arepas are a healthy option for anyone who can't eat gluten.

You can also enjoy typical Venezuelan side dishes, that you would find in any beach, kiosk or 'taguara', such as delicious tequenos (bread filled with cheese), Cuyagua-style fried plantain slices and crunchy fried yuca At Taguara Areperia, you will also find a great range of sweet dishes, such as conservitas de coco (small coconut cakes), golfeados (typical Venezuelan sweet rolls) and cakes of guava and cream cheese.

If you're not hungry, then try one of their refreshing, natural juices: guava, prickly custard apple, blackberries, passion fruit, tamarind, lulo, watermelon-pineapple, papelon (raw hardened sugar cane juice) with lemon, strawberry and mango. Taguara Areperia is the place for Venezuelan fast food in Barcelona.
