Bacalhau a bras with a glass of vinho verde are highly recommended. I have not put 5 stars only because of my expectations for the place to be a little bit cheaper or include the highlights of portuguese cuisine in the menu de dia

From our visit I can say the food here is not a true reflection of Portuguese food. The starter was cold, hard and dry the chef leaving the metal clip on the sausage of which nearly broke my tooth. In Portugal this is served flambé of which the restaurant stated that this goes against health and safety. For me a... More

Great Portuguese chill place in the middle of Barcelona, a new way to relax the evening and merge the cool part of Portuguese culture. After all the intense olive oil taste of the Spanish cousine, this is a great place to change and get new distinct flavours from the surrounding restaurants in the city. Went there in a company event,... More

We went to try this Portuguese as I am portuguese... was a big disappointment... we arrived, seated and the waiter started 'singing' the options..., no menu was provided in any moment to check the dishes or menu options... after deciding from the options provided, the dishes started coming... for starters we chose a caldo verde and a 'shrimp' salad, the... Keeps me coming back - best cafe in the neighborhood and the food is just great. The wine is even better though 😄 This is the only pure portuguese place I have seen in Barcelona!

I couldn't believe that there was place where one could enjoy real authentic Portuguese flavours, The best is the bacalao because it had an intense flavour not like the kind one would find in Spain. . Service great Food awesome Dessert amazing!!! Thanks for an awesome authentic experience

It's such a nice cafe! I loved the atmosphere of it in general! There you can hear some good music and get rid off noisy Barcelona for a while.

The bacalao is the standout here, but the tables are only comfortable if you're young. The prices are a bit high, but so is the quality.

Staying in Poblenou

Neighbourhood Profile
Poblenou
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centres catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
