Set slightly aback from main la ramblas street. We stopped off after an afternoon on the city bus tour and stayed for a few drinks. Food looked good tho we didn't eat. Nicely busy and pleasant service. We did pay after each round tho the barmaid forgot we paid for first drinks and tried to charge us two rounds! Sorted... More

So I'll start with saying the staff tried to sell us cocaine. The drink did not have any alcohol in them whatsoever. We ordered cheese sticks which they 'heat up', they were colder than ice. To top it all off everything was expensive. Please don't go here.

Good place to stop for a quick beer and a few pinchos, just off the main Ramblas and not expensive. Owner even going round to chat to people and warn them of pickpockets etc. Geats very busy at lunchtime.

Found this little place by accident as we were trying to avoid the main strip. Had a couple of beers and some nibbles- cant complain. Each item we had was lovely and around same price as everywhere else €1.95 per item. Staff were a little short tempered (not chatty) as it was very busy but didn't stop us enjoying what... More

Found a cute little tapas bar a couple blocks off the Ramblas. The tapas a good and inexpensive with many choices. The beer is cold and the sangria was really good too. The prices are very reasonable and this place has free wifi and friendly wait staff

This is an easy stop right across from the Liceu Theatre metro stop. You can't ruin beer and the drafts were good. The tapas we had were fine and service was good.

I've been there on my first trip to Barcelona, and three years later I came back to the same place. The tapas are good, sangria too. A bit expensive for what it offers but I like the atmosphere. Staff is welcoming.

It's 5 euros a pint for a start. The tapas is stale and thrown into a microwave. The staff are extremely rude and unwelcoming, especially the waitress who looks like pink. Awfully aggressive and unfriendly. They refused so many people service I'm at odds to know how it's stays open, especially with their extortionate prices. The toilets are filthy and... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighbourhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
