The best Indian food I had in Barcelona. So tasty... I believe I had a chicken haandi which was rich in flavour and absolutely awesome. I over ate because it was so delicious! Ideally placed by the beach with beautiful decor. My husbands paneer curry was warm, not hot but they were able to reheat it without any fuss. Highly... More

Went here for a lunch and had a few dishes. My personal opinion is that the Tandoori chicken was great, the Vindalo a little too thin and too much cinnamon for my flavor. Tandoori Salmon was good too as well as the Garlic Naan. A little pricey, but it's just next to the beach so it's perfectly OK.

Went to this Indian restaurant with my friend. The staff were very polite but the food was not that good. We had upset stomachs and were charged €97 for 4 naans,4 small dishes and one drink 😟.

We walked in without a reservation around 8 PM. We ordered Malai pakora and samosa for starters, both of which were so tasty. For the main course , we ordered veg biriyani and kofta ! They tasted so homely and good! Don't miss this place !

Location is fine ! Staff are polite ! Food are not that special ! Small portions comparing to other restaurants and very expensive ! I think prices are high to pay the rent of the location but again concerning the food is poor ! Toilettes need to be renovated and more clean ! Was an experience but never recommend it... More

This restaurant is very busy after 9.30 so book. The surroundings are slightly old fashioned, a bit 'flock wallpaper' but don't be put off. A wonderful range of delicious Indian food with generous portions, good seafood and lots for vegetarians (I recommend the ginger spiced casserole veg with a naan bread top over the pot). Delicious lamb methi spicy but... More

We've made it something of a tradition to try out our favourite cuisine wherever we travel. That often ends in disappointment and regret. After all, why should you expect a great Indian meal in Rome, Beijing, Perth or Los Angeles. So, we headed to Rangoli, more in hope than expectation, Situated in the harbour area, it's easy to find. We... More

Absolutely gorgeous place and food! Went three times! We were staying in the hotel, so it was less than 30 seconds from our door - not good for waistlines! Food was amazing, as was the service and the best mushroom rice we have ever had! So miss this place!

If you like spicy food, Lamb Vindaloo is a must. (But get a full bottle of water nearby :-) Nans are great, tasty, locally baked. And all of the menu is great, there's something for everyone. Of course, served quickly and with a smile.

Thank JC R

Facing the sea, Rangoli shares with its older brother - indian restaurant Bembì - the same concept of Indian food. Besides gathering all the virtues of his predecessor, Rangoli has a number of distinctive features: new and unique dishes, attractive decoration full of carefully chosen decorative pieces from India, a bar area where one can sip on a drink and, to top it all - a terrace with the Mediterranean view. Rangoli is the most ancient traditional decorative folk art of India and a symbol of religious and cultural beliefs. It is considered an important part of our spiritual tradition. Rangoli figures and patterns are colourful decorative designs on courtyards during Hindu festivals and is meant as a sacred welcoming area for the gods and guests. These ancient rituals have been passed on through the ages, from one generation to the next, thus keeping both the art form and the tradition alive. The purpose of rangolis is to bring good luck. We in Rangoli strive to present to you the culinary art of India which is as vibrant, traditional and colourful as a Rangoli and bring to you recipes which have transcended through generations. We welcome you to try the Rangoli experience!

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
