If you like spicy food, Lamb Vindaloo is a must. (But get a full bottle of water nearby :-) Nans are great, tasty, locally baked. And all of the menu is great, there's something for everyone. Of course, served quickly and with a smile.

Have been here a couple of times in our trips to Barcelona and it serves authentic Indian food and best of all they make it spicy - which seems difficult to find in Spain. Good service and tasty, quality food, if a little more expensive than some places. Worth it though if you're craving a good curry in Barcelona!

wonderful ambiance, friendly staff, and great food! we sat outside for dinner and though it is on a busyish street, we didn't even notice the street noise, with the cozy feeling and music playing. It was very peaceful. the food was to die for. I forgot how much I liked Indian! We ordered way too much food, the portions were... More

Great ambience, excellent food and extremely hospitable staff. We had a memorable meal at Rangoli on a rainy day. Excellent kebabs as well as curries. Very well stocked wines as well. Wait staff is knowledgeable and very courteous.

Food was very good, menu was kept simple, service was very fast and waiters very friendly. Would definitely eat here again. And I don't have much to add to that. It was busy on a Thursday night and the curries were lovely. I had one that had a touch too much cardamon for me but that's personal taste. We didnt... More

You want Indian restaurants to be the same all over the world. often they are. This one, the Rangoli, is one of the better experiences. We had papadoms (always the same), then Butter Chicken (good standard) and I had the Lamb Vindaloo (hot, hot). And it was indeed hot, but still a delight to eat. Beer, naan and pilou-rice made... This restaurant is very close to the promenade overlooking the mediterranean sea. The location is excellent, we sat outside and enjoyed the cool breeze from the sea. The food is excellent. Started off with the samosa and the tandoori salmon tikka. The salmon tikka is not to be missed it was very well made. We had the chicken makhni, dal... More

Facing the sea, Rangoli shares with its older brother - indian restaurant Bembì - the same concept of Indian food. Besides gathering all the virtues of his predecessor, Rangoli has a number of distinctive features: new and unique dishes, attractive decoration full of carefully chosen decorative pieces from India, a bar area where one can sip on a drink and, to top it all - a terrace with the Mediterranean view. Rangoli is the most ancient traditional decorative folk art of India and a symbol of religious and cultural beliefs. It is considered an important part of our spiritual tradition. Rangoli figures and patterns are colourful decorative designs on courtyards during Hindu festivals and is meant as a sacred welcoming area for the gods and guests. These ancient rituals have been passed on through the ages, from one generation to the next, thus keeping both the art form and the tradition alive. The purpose of rangolis is to bring good luck. We in Rangoli strive to present to you the culinary art of India which is as vibrant, traditional and colourful as a Rangoli and bring to you recipes which have transcended through generations. We welcome you to try the Rangoli experience!

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
